>tfw i broke down and cried at a job interview
>>
>>29746747
You serious OP? Greentext story pl0x.
>>
>>29746747
Why did you start crying?

Did you get the job?
>>
>>29746776
There's nothing to it. Five minutes in she asked why I was unemployed for three years so I collapsed. She was smirking and finished the interview right then
>>
>>29746747

If it makes you feel better, this happened to me once too. Literally in the middle of the interview after I realized the manager was looking for an experienced normie, I panicked. He got me a water, was very nice about it. I left and don't even go near that area anymore.
>>
>>29746747
Well, did you get the job? :^)

Serious question: How do you worm your way out of a question like that?
>>
>>29746850
Mail room clerk. She was some 28 year old Stacey.

>>29746829
I doubt it. The first five minutes was just small talk. That was the only question she asked
>>
>>29746802
Sad to hear bro. Take some time to get over it then get back to trying. Also prepare for those type of questions.
>>
>>29746810

I forgot to mention, my dad had driven me there and my manager walked me to his car (where he was waiting) to drop off the blubbering retard. Dad asks, "Maybe we can try again another time?" Manager politely declines.
>>
>>29746852
might be best to be honest. just assure them that tou can do the job. sob stories might work.
>>
>>29746852

Be honest but make it sounds good. Say you were discouraged but now you are making positive steps to get back on track. Hey I'm here at this interview right now. Obviously I want this job.
>>
>>29746852

Lie, lie and lie some more.

Feel no guilt absolutely about lying to or cheating these normies. Do whatever evil you can to them, as long as you can get away with it.

If it was the other way around they would fuck you over and laugh about doing so.

Your mother was dying of cancer, she has since recovered etc.

We've all been there OP!

>Feel guilty about being a pos shut in hiki neet loser resource black hole
>Motivate myself to leave the cave and be a good person
>Alright! I'm gonna go out there and get a job!
>Jobs are scarce in my city
>1.5 hour bus ride for dishwashing job across the city
>Dress nice
>They posted the wrong time for the interview
>Have to wait in the lobby for 2 hours for the manager to show up
>That's okay. I brought stuff to read and study
>Other applicant shows up. It's a still-in-highschool girl who's like 5 years younger than me
>Try to make conversation before the interview to ease tension
>Completely choke and spill linguini everywhere. Freak her out
>Manager shows up
>Wants to interview us both at the same time
>She immediately notices how awkward and insecure I am
>For the whole interview, she's pretty much ignores me completely and is talking only to the girl
>At one point she says, hardly even trying to hide that she's talking about me right in front of me: "Some people we just can't hire because their parent's messed them up mentally and they'll just be bad for business"
>I know it's over for me, but I'm too beta to just get up and leave
>I just sit there for 15 minutes, ashamed of and sick with myself
>Have to make an active, sustained effort to prevent myself from completely chimping out and assaulting this woman
>>
>>29746802
Yeah, some chicks get off on that. I used to work with a fat blonde chick who bragged about how she went through engineering applications while getting her degree. She had it as her university student job and mocked the nerdy kids and often wouldn't let them in. I told her it made no sense for a communications major to have gotten her position there.

Her current job after graduation and a few years was a retail job.
>>
>>29746907
Head on over to /biz/ and ask for some more specific advice. But yea this is a good strategy.

If you're just trying to get your foot in the door of a shitty job, they probably won't pursue legal action against you for fraud even if they do catch you out.
>>
>>29747085
What's the point of getting a shit job that has that bad of a commute?
>>
I'm so sorry OP, I know that feeling.

>>

Was NEET for three years, as long as it's a entry level job and an entry level job your lying about having it fucking cake. I literally made up three years of fake work experience at my current job then got promoted to TL. Don't listen to this guy OP they aren't going to call the Mc'Donalds to find out how good of aworker you are.

Funny thing about this. I had a guy who only did schooling for 4 years. He was studying engineering or something and he said he worked for a year at Burger King and another year at Sears.

Wanna know what I immediately did after the interview? Called those places up and found out he lied. He didn't come back. And this is for an entry level job, too. Just a cashier at Savemart.

For any robots in here that think that school is a good excuse for not having a job, IT IS NOT.

do community service, fucking anything.

>tfw wanted to volunteer at animal shelter but application was denied
>>
>>29747393
Okay robots we have the most serious savemart manager ever. But seriously, just make sure and do your research on the position for which you claim to have. If your in the US just make up a small landscaping company, stacy's won't even ask you further questions about that.
>>
>>29747393
>maybe

Come on get real. It's in our interest to lie. YOU might check up to see if we really cleaned toilets at shitmart, but other people won't.

If you don't hire us, it's not like we're not going to ask future employers to phone you as a reference. And we'll sooner find an employer who only cares about our performance during the interview, than one who is willing to give a piece of shit mess another chance at life out of charity.
>>
>>29747407
They must have changed their numbers, they are former co-workers that I don't talk to often
>>
>>29747393
Also, protip.

The job app says no experience needed, but we RARELY take people with no work experience. When we do, it's almost always high schoolers. I'd say to get a decent chance as a cashier, you'd want to have at least two years of job experience. Barring that, club-related work at college/community service/being a club officer or doing anything related to leadership will give you a leg up, I suppose. Just fucking put something down. We want to see something.
>>
>>29747407
>questionable references
They would not waste time checking all of them. The resume would just get thrown out.
>>
>>29747471
>no anon, i mean we googled these people. there's no record of any of these people existing
>>
>>29747482
Yea but that's like a 70k/year corporate job. We're talking about minimum wage shit here. You only need to get your foot in the door once, and then it's easier to keep the ball rolling. The farther back in the past your work gaps are, the easier they are to fill with things that can't be checked.

Okay, I'm 21 and never had a job. I'm about to start looking this week since I finished my resume.

I have no job experience, but I've done community service a while back (2013), like 300+ hours, and some college club stuff. How fucked am I? I'm looking for entry-level jobs to make a little money.

I really don't want to lie about work experience.

When I say "chimp out," I wanted to spit in her face and punch her, and who knows what other psycho insanity would have followed if I'd done it. It was good that I just sat there and did nothing. Otherwise I would have had to do jailtime for a felony assault charge. Really not worth it.

This is bullshit. You can lie through your teeth on resumes as long as you don't get caught. I got into grad school at University of Chicago with: 1) a fake job for a fake company on my resume; 2) a fake volunteer position; and 3) a fake reference from a former employer that I wrote myself.

It's honestly not that hard as long as you cover your tracks and know how to game the system.

You seriously get distracted by food? What are you, a fuckin normie meme?! Jesus fuck, you don't deserve a job...
>>
>>29748011
Okay, so here's what you do:

Register a domain name for an email acct. Just come up with a plausible sounding company name and pay like $10 to set it up. If you're really serious about this shit then also get a burner phone and include it as a contact. Give it to one of your friends who sounds the least like a burnout, if you have any and tell him he might have to vouch for you. Have him set up a professional sounding voicemail at least. It's actually probably better if you just keep the phone and let any reference calls go unanswered / unreturned. It's probably not all that uncommon especially for lower level type jobs for small companies. You can reply to the emails yourself. It also helps if the fake companies / references live out of state and went out of business. You can actually even pick a company that went out of business from local business sections of the newspaper and base all your work around that. Look for things like lawsuits or bankruptcy filings. Local news and chamber of commerce websites are your friends. Lastly, it helps if the fake job is weirdly specific such that people don't readily understand what it is that you did. Manufacturing representative, industrial broker, Purchasing agent -- whatever. Look something up and use it and learn to bullshit about it.

tfw 2 milf bosses. Both have kids so it's pretty no go though. One is blonde, other brunette. The brunette is god tier milf desu but more cute than hot.
The blonde one is actually quite funny but I wouldn't stand her for more than 1 hour. She's speaking 24/7

Blonde joked about me getting a banker wife so she could handle my economy. Chances look pretty slim.

Good. This anon gets it. Fucking lol @ following the rules and being an "honest" individual. The fact of the matter is, if employers don't see anything consistent on your resume, they won't even bother looking at it. Just last week I got three job offers as a medical scribe at a psychiatrist office, warehouse inventory specialist, and pharmacy clerk by having a completely fake resume. I couldn't get them because of school schedule for next semester , but two of the three told me to keep their contact info, and contact them back when I'm done with school to explore similar opportunities.

this is exactly what i'm trying to say. how do we become productive members of society when society won't allow any gaps in employment?
>>
I've worked a bunch of wildly different jobs in my life. I'm now done moving from job to job and I want to find a career, and it's fucking impossible. I get invited to interviews, but I've been to like 10 so far over the last year and not one good offer. The last one told me they didn't like the font style I used. Like seriously? You're going to not hire me because of my font? I don't want to lie on my resume but I don't know how else I'm going to get myself a good job.

Getting just any job isn't that hard if you're persistent. The first one may not work out and reading some stories on here have really made me feel better, but eventually you'll want something better. I don't think I can just lie and get a really good job.
>>
I've had all sorts of awful interviews, and have been bullied out of maybe 2-3 jobs so far.

The worst thing is, i'm a good and honest worker, its just that no one responds to that. The workplace is simply a popularity contest, just like the rest of life is.

I mean, the woman i work with does almost nothing at her desk all day, and yet she's risen to a comfy level within the company.

Meanwhile i'm constantly wondering when they're going to fire me for not being a "good fit", even though certain assholes there have gone out of their way to give me a hard time since day one.
>>
>>29754205
>have been bullied out of maybe 2-3 jobs so far.
>even though certain assholes there have gone out of their way to give me a hard time since day one.

At a certain point you have to realize you're the problem
>>
>Go to interview for a summer job.
>People there say I answer the hypothetical questions about work related things well.
>Mention I don't have any work experience when they ask.
>They say they will call me back if I get the job
>Never call me back.
>Pester them by email
>They email me saying I didn't get the job.
About to actually put some effort for job applications again. How do I ace an interview?I just need a shitty retail or fast food job.

Why the fuck would anyone want to hire someone that lives 90 minutes away for a minimum wage job, that's a massive red flag
>>
>>29756105
No. Most places don't give a shit about Facebook and friending co-workers will lead into them lurking your page or finding out things you didn't want them to know.

An ex-coworker of mine would call out sick or need time off to take care of family members and then other employees who were Facebook friends would see their posts from the beach and at parties.
She didn't last very long at the job.

>>
>>29755954
yeah that's getting more and more common and since it is not the government you have no legal protection against it

imagine if the factory/mine bosses in the 1890's had required workers to allow them to screen their correspondence. I suppose you might be able to argue that it infringes on your ability to communicate in order to form unions and so they'd be breaking a labour law, but that's a bit of a stretch.
Any company and shill that works for them should really get boycotted off the market, but people have to eat so it'll likely just get worse

What makes you think the turnover rate is so high?
>>
>>29756497

I've heard of places doing it. Never been asked myself. If I did, I'd say something along the lines of "I understand that information security is very important to this company and a breach of classified information can be devastating. If hired, I will protect company information as if it were my own personal information."

Not even joking. It would not surprise me one bit if government contractors ask this question just to see if you will give them your password.
