But this is all utterly beside the point, the point is that drunks still bear responsibility for their actions when they are driving, using guns or whatever else, but when it comes to sex, suddenly they are legally exempt. If they crash a car while drunk and it is their fault, they get charged proper, they get charged for hurting people, stealing. If they get fucked while drunk, only the other person is responsible, their drunk consent was void, even though in all other scenarios being drunk is not an excuse.

When you're drunk and crash your car, it is obviously your fault as you should have been getting drunk into a car in the first place. When you're drunk and another person fucks you, it is not entirely your fault because the other person can make a fully conscious choice, whereas you are intoxicated and thus your judgement is most likely flawed. This doesn't mean that you don't take any responsibility at all, as it was, after all, your own choice to get drunk. However, saying that you alone are responsible for your actions, when it clearly takes at least two individuals to get indulged in a sexual act in the first place, is nonsense.
