use head & shoulders. massage it in. don't scratch your scalp with your fingernails. leave it in during the whole shower. rinse out at the end. try to use the coldest water you can tolerate.

Use Neutrogena T-Gel maximum strength. It's expensive and it has coal tar in it but it works better than anything else I've tried.

Dandruff can be caused from washing your scalp too much and drying it out. Let the oils regenerate.

I stopped using shampoo about eight months ago, I just rinse with water and haven't had dandruff problems since.
