"Sex isn't a big deal" in that it's an integral part of being human and that the vast majority of people will do it many times throughout their lives. For many people it carries intrinsic emotional effects, however for some those only apply to certain instances, and for some those don't apply at all.
The OP post is obviously bait, but for the people ITT, the reason why cheating is a "big deal" is because it implies a breach of trust within a relationship, as the majority of relationships are exclusive. One can "cheat" without even having sex according to some, as the act of cheating often is more about the emotional dishonesty than the act itself.
If you have a partner, and they're fine with you having casual sex with others, then it's not cheating. What makes it cheating is the fact that you've withheld the truth, deceived or otherwise broken the trust that comes as part of a relationship. That by no means implies that casual sex is necessarily "a big deal"
