As long as you're not embarrassingly balding before you're 40, don't worry about it, in the mean time, take cold showers, don't comb your hair too hard, shampoo less, and if you really feel like it get on medication, though that can be expensive and isn't recommended for young men

Did your hair loss have a particular pattern to it at all? I've lost some on my crown and along my hairline (almost no recession, just thinning), with no temple recession. My dermatologist says I have "mild" MPB that was severely exacerbated by telogen effluvium, but that now that the TE triggers are gone I just need biotin supplements and Rogaine for a year, and then my hair will be fine again. But I'm worried that they're just saying that to make me feel better, given that it's concentrated on the crown and front of my head (though also with some diffuse thinning otherwise).
The only hair loss in my family was my maternal grandfather, who stabilized at NW3 with no crown thinning.
