regret is a good emotion. it teaches you your mistakes if youre willing to see it, and it can be used to improve yourself. but at some point regret becomes toxic. its no longer any help, just a burden. your mind works in circles and the neural pathways gets stronger and stronger. it doesnt push you to change, it scares you into inactivity. so. why continue? why regret what happened 1-5-10-20 years ago? it is in the past, it cannot be changed. let it go. your watching a tv channel filled with your failures. if only you would realize that its possible to change the channel.
regret is just your subconscious shielding you from thinking about something even more painful
