Just to throw in my 2 cents, my take on love isn't that extravagant at all. No movie magic here. You may not agree that it exists of course and that's fine but I think the degree of love that we've grown up with because of media is flawed.
My understanding of love is when they push me to be a better person. When they tell me to sleep well or that I'm going to do great for a test. When they're the first person I think of when I make a decision and the last person I think of before I fall asleep so my dreams will be nice.
Love means that even when they annoy you and do stupid things you can forgive them and move on. And you push them to be better too. When you tell them to be careful walking down a certain street and ask them to tell you when they're home
Love isn't these giant declarations. But I think it's not one of those things you flag out or know immediately. It just hits you one day when they buy your favourite sweets or tell you they miss you
