Lmao the only time you really get yelled at is during boot camp and that depends on the people who are training you. It sounds like you think the military is how it is on old movies. The military as a whole is pretty PC nowadays. Transgender people just got the greenlight to openly server a few days back (which is silly)

Does the asvab score matter in the army? Once you get assigned a job at MEPS for the navy, no one cares about the asvab at all

Kinda, higher ups can look at your ERB and judge you on your scores to see if you're "smart" and they use it for promotion boards and if you want to reclass into another job. My new squad leader was on my dick the first day I met him when he looked up our scores because he saw that I got a 129 GT score
