I don't have anything to back this up, but I feel like what makes fapping bad is when you do it with porn. I've been doing NoPorn for a while and I went from fapping 2-3 times per day (and using up a good 2 hours to find porn, mind you) to about once every two days. I was definitely 'addicted' to porn.
