Any of you ever get these repeating phrases that keep running in your head?
Just every day, you hear the phrase. But you don't really "hear" it--it's a thought.
Like you hear "rollercoaster, rollercoaster, rollercoaster, rollercoaster" over and over again. Maybe when you're driving, because rollercoasters roll like the wheels of a car. Or when you're eating sandwiches, you'll think, "sand, sand, sand", maybe because "sandwich" has the word sand in it".
If so, what are the ones you've been hear-thinking lately?
Not really phrases but i'll usually think of cringey moments in my past. I get lost in them but I'll eventually snap out of them shortly, followed by some kind of curse word.
Yeah, this happens to me all the time. Gets sort of annoying after a while.
Recently it's been "time to kill yourself."

Yeah, I hear repeating curse words in my head too. It can get really, really irritating.
I actually prefer not to curse, generally speaking. So hearing constant profane tirades in my mind is tiresome.

Only one pleasurabe thing- smoking can be trashed when I catch myself that I'm not thinking, then the salvo of thougths goes

I failed a class in college and got awful grades on the others.
I don't have any friends or any real social interaction.
My mindset has gone to absolute shit. I'm completely unmotivated, I'm insecure, and I'm starting to despise everyone around me.

I was doing great in college but dropped out due to some catastrophic injuries which have not gotten much better unfortunately.

For me, it's been "Don't do it!" and "Kill yourself", both usually directed at me.

I kept saying this to myself for about a full day.
Lately it has been "concentric circles"
some times i'll get lines from a movie or game, or lyrics from song, or something such repeating in my head.
sometimes, they'll begin to merge into a bizarre amalgam that is far too cringy to even write out anonymously
I did it as a kid, too. I'd even say it out loud, repeating it, getting weird looks. Now I'm self aware enough to do it only in my head.
