Whats for dinner tonight, poverty-bots? For me, it's hotdogs with bb sauce and chipotle mustard for dipping + homemade bread and Michelob Ultra to wash it all down.
>vaccation
>between semester SO works a fuck ton to have 'spending money' for the whole year
>rest of the year i pay rent and such so she stays loan free like me
>she makes me food boxes because she won't be home

>black beans in ramen (on the right, the left is cheap tortilla chips that I never eat).
Ramen noodles with 3 eggs in it. Has a good amount of calories and protein for cheap, can't complain
>>29686458
>3 eggs in it
Enjoy your gallstones.

black beans in noodle-cup
will this work? sounds kinda good
i usually put pees and corn in it
Best poverty dinner is rice/tuna and some kinda legume. Topped with some soy sauce.
3 cups of rice with margarine and garlic powder
2 slices of bread and hummus
3 cups of water
for dinner i will treat myself to some crackers and peanut butter
>>29686207
>homemade bread
how do you make your bread anon? looks good and i've wanted to do this.
about five tablespoons of grated cheese
Garlic chicken thighs, shredded.
>>29686534
not OP
i like to just make bread on a stick with flour, water and salt basically on the balcony
>open fire
>heat up bean can
>make bread on stick
cosy as fuck
>>29686534
I dont know. My grandma makes it. Sorry lol
>>29686494
Give me a better idea for an easy, tasty 21 grams of protein that costs 25 cents
I live off of top ramen and canned meats. When I feel like getting fancy, I buy pizza rolls or hamburgers and french fries.
There has to be a /ck/ guide for poor people recipes besides the ramen guide.
>>29686513
I don't use the cup kind. But why wouldn't it? Also, I put garlic powder and vegetable spread in it usually rather than the Uber salty package.
>Pic is cheapest ramen
And ham powder sometimes, and onion, and a cap full of vinegar. Poaching an egg makes it perfect.
Vitamin pills plus this and live forever.
I also eat instant mashed potatoes alot, and add table salt just in case for the iodine. Same recipe plus alot of Mayo.
And cheap burgers but never mind going into my exact diet.
Water.
Tonight's meal is water. From the tap.

ya i like putting random shit i have at home into my noodles to spice things up
>being from northen europe
>actually putting salt in my noodle cup together with "uber" salty one that it comes with
this will get me killed but i'm raised on very salty food here

Why do you need that much protein ?
>>29686528

Rice, mayo, and tuna is God teir and soy sauce only makes it better

Trying to get /fit/ after being on a 30 year bulk. Don't see the point in lifting if I'm not eating good food.

50 cent can pork n beans and 3 eggs
ALDI is great. I just finished a dollar a pound Bologna kick that lasted me a couple months. The great thing is they are right next to Costco for me. They are the go to for eggs and cheese, among other things.
I advocate just buying 50 pound bags of cheap American rice at Costco, adding things to it like eggs and cheese and frozen vegetables. If you can find rice cheaper than fourteen dollars or so for a fifty pound bag buy it there, and tell me where you went.
I used to do potatoes and onions but my wife is so fussy about my cooking and addicted to her snacks and favorites there's no point trying to buy anything that doesn't keep indefinitely that I'm the only one eating. I can't even make my own meals as frequently anymore as I end up eating what I buy for her.
For some reason Harris teeter sells loose kernel popcorn cheaper than any of the other grocery stores around me. It might depend on the state, but if I can get close to fifty cents a pound instead of a dollar or more I'm happy. Wild fluctuation for a commodity. Never buy microwave popcorn.
We've seen our share of ups and downs
Oh
How quickly life can turn around
In an instant
>Dishes are dirty
>Been using the same plate for 3 weeks
>There is barbecue sauce and sesame seed puree fused to the center

Nigga buy some paper plates and paper plate holders.
You can get 100 for like $3
>>29688195
>huge quantities of rice
My nigga. I do the same. Add a bit of lowry's seasoning salt, chili powder, and extra pepper and paprika, add some ranch dressing and frozen veggies. Shit's great for a cheap meal that keeps me full for a long stretch at a time.
Also that's a good thing to put into my survival bag that I forgot about. Thanks for reminding me anon, appreciate it!

Yeah but then I'd have to go to the store

Alright fuckers.
listen up. it's okay to be frugal, I get it. But you should try and eat healthy food as it will make you feel better overall.
when you can, here are some helpful tools that require 0 skill to make a good tasting meal I can vouch for:
go and invest in a slow cooker (about $30)
you can buy and cook a huge hunk of meat or chicken for $12~ depending. let it cook on slow for around 6 hours while you are away or 3-4 on high when you can tend to it yourself. absolutely delicious and meat will practically fall off the bone. meat with bones still attached are the most flavorful, by the way.
try and shop for meat in actual butcher (meat) shops than retail stores as it's probably cheaper.
or if you REALLY want to stick to ramen, get yourself a COOKS brand electric kettle. just put water in that shit and flip the switch. Easy boiling water to pour into a bowl of ramen.
there is also a $30 rice cooker and steamer by Aroma that works fucking wonderfully. you can steam veggies and make rice all at once. you can also cook spaghetti in there.
if you are sick of eating ramen and hot dogs (you should because it's unhealthy and fucks up your mood and energy) try and eat stuff with a bit more nutrients.
if you are in retail stores keep an eye out for buy 1 get 1 products especially meats.
most stores have special deals that are specific to a particular day of the week or month.
