To be honest I am only cutting my hair myself because shutin and high levels of anxiety. I don't like waiting in the hairdresser and then some girl is doing the haircuts. It feels too normie and a social place. Very awkward for me.

I love getting my haircut because the girl who cuts my hair is HIGH TEST. Her height is absolutely perfectly aligned with my own when I sit down so that her ass rubs against my arms and hands whenever she walks to the other side of me. They are also usually busy so I can spend the waiting time taking in the scenery.

a good pack should come with haircutting scissors to trim off the excess, then start running it over your head with the longest setting, carry on until desired length is reached and use the scissors to snip off any bits you missed
after that it's easy, you can give it a quick go-over every couple months for nothing more than the price of the electricity you use, and without having to leave the comfort of your own home

OP here, literally the same problem. I've found that the hardest part is just mustering up the courage to actually go. Once I get in there and sit down in the waiting area I kind of accept my fate. I usually just tell the person cutting my hair simple instructions like "3 on sides and blend the top with scissors" and then just hope it looks okay when they are done. I will say that when you have long hair that it feels good to have somebody cut it off, but usually I'm filled with anxiety during the entire process.
There's also the anxiety that comes with knowing everyone will comment on it when I go to work, but people have started commenting on how shitty it looks now anyway so it doesn't fucking matter.
Now that it's summer I want to get rid of my long hair, it's a hassle in this season and my hairline is JUST not ok for this anymore. How should I cut my hair?
