Spend most of my day online, but when I feel lonely I just watch a good movie or series, and if that doesn't help I go on Omegle and meet people there.
I don't really go outside much. Aside the shopping for food and such.

Join a club and meet new people, find a new place and have room-mates, try to get new experiences every week to break from your boring daily routine. Just do anything that you're not doing now (Unless it's something bad, don't do bad things).
Changing is uncomfortable and you'd honestly rather just keep things the way they are, but changing your lifestyle is the best way to fix your problem and you need to do it, the faster you do it the quicker and easier things will be fixed.

For the first 5-10 years since moving out: school, work, attending every party I could, and a lot of hope in that things would get better.
For the second set of 5-10 years, just work. And far less parties, as you literally find out and realize that going out, meeting girls, etc, *never* *ever* turn out well for you.
After all that, spending time alone comes naturally, as you actually prefer it. From my teens to my mid-30's, I moved from a hyper extrovert social personality, to an extremely introvert outcast type instead.

>Cut down on alcohol. When you live alone depression hits you sooner or later and drinking while depressed will make it even worse. If you can, avoid drinking as much as possible when you're alone.
>Escapism is very recommended (Video games, anime, movies, TV, books, music, comics etc.)
>Go on night-walks. Leave your apartment late at night, grab a few bucks with you and go explore. It is very relaxing especially if you live in a town where there aren't many people on the streets late at night.

This might sound like some old lady tactic but ORDER PIZZA when you get lonely. Not only is the hot greasy food comforting but it gives you the chance to talk to. I usually order the pizza then ask the delivery guy a couple of questions. I keep a notepad document with questions I ask the Dominos pizza guys when they come. I try not to use the same question more than once. Overall I know all of them by name and all their opinions on pizza. It really helps me get over the loneliness
