Staying up all night listening to berghain techno at eardrum-shattering volumes!

I do the same but with 90s Swedish electro
>>
I was in Berlin once but never tried to go to berghain. clubs are a little spooky for me even though I like techno a lot.
>>
>>29657353
Berghain is every bit as great as they say.
But berghain techno is more the style of techno they play at berghain and put out on Ostgut Ton than anything else.
>>
>>29657367
any good dj sets I can download? individual tracks are nice but always seems to come together better with mixes.

I have a WCD account so can get anything that has been commercially released also.
>>
>>29657520
berghain mix cd series
panorama bar is good too, but it's not techno.
>>
>tfw love techno but too nervous to set foot in a club
https://youtu.be/6HcbdTc8QhA
>>29657520
ryan elliot just did a mix for fabric recently, i really liked it. a lot of house on there though
>>
>>29657529
Awesome. Snatching them all now.

>>29657574
iktf, i'll check out that fabric also.
>>
>>29657520
ben klock recently had an essential mix but it was BBOORRRRIINNNNGGGGG

A lot of this stuff is just repetitive crap
>>
>>29657729
Well, obviously it's boring as shit
this music is designed for the club which means huge systems, ridiculous volume, ribcage-rattling bassdrums and heavy intoxication.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGX-sZy2NyM
>>
>>29657762
so then why would you want to listen to that at home?
>>
>>29657800
look up Midland. that's not too bad for the car
>>
anyone still love dubstep?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0URWw2EDiz0
>>
>>29657899
checking in senpai, did you check commodo's new album?
>>
>>29657899
I like stuff from that 05-09 era.. Mala, Benga, Coki, Skream (early stuff), Distance.. and the 2step from then, especially Burial.
>>
>>29657966
yea
unspectacular, except for this one tune which is ridiculous:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCy0uw6MV1E

>>29657981
>2step from then, especially Burial
Will never made 2-step. It really bothers me when people talk about things they don't understand.

This is what 2-step sounds like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVEEb5jIkrM
It's honestly some of the cheesiest shit I can think of.
I'm a sucker for garridge to be honest, it's the best..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1q9G7tiKKU

>Coki
wew
Coki is the man who killed dubstep, this tune was the beginning of the end, you know?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhfzFNu9I34
>>
>>29658104
I donno man I'm not an expert I just liked the music.
then what kind of music is Burial?

>Coki is the man who killed dubstep
I really liked his Burnin'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMV8XlY7WzQ

I was a 420blazeit back then.
>>
>>29657966
>>29658104
kek you idiots dubstep is dead.

>>29657981
burial is future garage
>>
>>29658155
>then what kind of music is Burial?
dubstep, just dubstep
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzd3vQcZ58A

>I was a 420blazeit back then.
I used to be big on ket back in those days.

>29658209
>future garage
future garage does not exist outside the internet, it's not a real genre.

>dubstep is dead
nah
this came out a couple days ago and it's sick
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04hUMFK3wP4
>>
>>29658104
That fuckin Dre remix cracked me up, thanks for the laffs anon.
PS not even the cheesiest garage beats the glorious Thunderdome gabber

berghain just sounds like what techno is trending towards lately. like the stuff you'll see on HATE or fuccyootoo on youtube.

anyways take some 2 S T E P
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8ZNWlSHLP4
>>
>>29658458
>2step
how is this 2step?
where is the skittering jungle-influenced percussion?
>>
>>29658287
well burial isn't dubstep. it was associated with it because of mary anne hobbs' dubstep nights and released on hyperdub - but, it's not dubstep. Also since he was friendly with dubstep artists from that label people put him more into that file. the sound is more 2 step garage than it is dubstep.
>>
>>29658518
>burial isn't dubstep
how is it not dubstep, can you explain?

>he was friendly with dubstep artists from that label people put him more into that file
Steve didn't know Burial before releasing his tunes, Burial was just a kid who kept sending tunes to Steve.

>the sound is more 2 step garage
does this sound like burial to you?

stop calling them by their first names with no last name. you aren't on a first name basis with these people
>>
POST YOUR FAVOURITE CHEESY GENRES, THE STUFF THAT MAKES YOU FEEL STUPID LISTENING TO IT, BUT YET YOU ENJOY IT TOO MUCH TO STOP

1. Gabber / Hardcore
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC0B7bQf12Q
2. Full-on Psytrance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKlv53FoZZ0
3. Hardstyle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw9OpLH8ncM
4. Hardbass

>>
>>29658607
>does this sound like burial to you?
Yes. Very much so. Especially the drums.
>>
>>29658687
kek. I know what a faggot.

>also calling Burial by "Will"
>>
I remember reading that Benga had some crazy mental illness problems. poor little bugger.
>>
>>29658687
>>29658877
It's a simple method of obfuscation. If you don't know who these people are you shouldn't be talking about dubstep.
>>
Is Mala in Cuba good? Anyone ever check out his newer stuff? Now I guess he roaming through South America...
>>
I like Progressive House a lot. John Digweed, Guy J, that Bedrock sound... I don't know many artists in that genre anymore though. Way Out West was really good for a while, and Deep Dish.
>>
>>29659052
Return 2 Space is ridiculously good.
Mala in Cuba is alright.
Mirrors is great.
>>
>>29656983

I like you, OP. Techno's a fun genre. That Ame track is fuckin baller
>>
>>29659141
techno is not fun
if you are having fun with techno please kill yourself
techno is serious club music for serious people

the teutonic ideal of clubbing is the only true one
>>
>>29659089
this kids are too young for that. they were like 8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGovVz2DXR8

Anybody like Dorisburg? Not strictly techno I guess, but whatever
>>
>>29658458

Oh shit, I've always been confused about HATE, but I love fuckin Darkcore/Injustice

It's just a bunch of anonymous musicians, isn't it? Or is it a label or something?
>>
Any industrial techno bots in? Been getting really into Regis/Function/Surgeon recently, along with the harsher stuff like Raime and Ansome
>>
>>29656983
>>29657325

I do the same but with Goa Trance
