How do I just get up and go travel the world for a year? What do I do when I get back, if I have no life skills and I will need a job? And does any robots when to get together in a group and go travel the world together?
>>
I'd be down. I can fly for nearly free too.
>>
>>29654699
How? Family member works for airports?
>>
>>29654813
Mom is a stewardess, yeah.
>>
Fuck yeah. I've been posting shit like this forever and get shot down by the angry robots every time.

I run an online business and run it from anywhere in the world with decent internet.

Ok. I'm 27 year old male and I have about 10k saved up, and more depending on when we leave. I've never traveled before and have no idea what I'm doing, but it's something I wanted to do. I mean I think seeing this world before you die is something that everyone should do.

My email is JmanTea12@aolcom if you guys want to talk more about this

>>29655216
Well shit, I don't have that much money.
>>
>>29655216
literally built for sex

i dont think the average robot would last very long before his feet hurt too much or he realised he was losing GBP
>>
>>29655239
have no idea how much traveling cost. I've heard South East Asia is like 1k a month
>>
>>29655350
Yeah, no way I could afford a year of that.
>>
How most young people travel:
>"dad can i have some money to go to europe for the summer?"
>"ok son here you go"
Then they make sure to take as many pictures as possible with native peoples so it looks like they were really there to drown in the 'culture'
>>
>>29655350

South east asia is cheap Anon. Book a flight to Bangkok and go from there. The place accomodates travellers with offers of cheap onwards travel/lodgings etc

Keep hold of the money you have, theres plenty of work to be done thats low skill stuff and will give you enough to make it by.
>>
Everyone wants to do this, its a lot harder than it sounds. Going to need at least 10k+ for maybe 3 or 4 months, you eat through your savings very quickly.
>>
>>29655905
Any money saving tips? I figure I could save money on food by just eating bread and cheap soda for the majority of the time. Also aren't there websites where you can stay in peoples house for free?
>>
>>29654672
You can't handle going out to the store, how do you think you'll do all alone in a foreign country?
>>
>>29655387
I was just posting info on me and what I have. Even if we can plan out a 2-3 month trip somewhere , I'd love to do that and than maybe I can have the confidence to set out on my own traveling after that. You have my email so if anything changes or something just hit me up.

>>29656113
People on /trv/ say travel is great for breaking your shell, plus this is something I really want to do. I'm much more afraid of dying before being able to see the most I can of this earth and it's beauty. It's also why I'm hoping I can get a small group of people to travel together so we can guide eachother and look out for one another and have fun and an adventure.

Just use Google Earth. I already traveled the whole world available in there.

Same boat here. 26 year old white male with 12k saved up. Want to quit my job but it's federal and it has great benefits but I hate it. I want to travel the world and have fun but I'm getting into that cycle where I want to save money up for a new car/house eventually.

I don't want to be boring, I should get out and travel now before I'm too old/it's too late
>>
I've got 80k saved up. How long will this last if I live on trail mix and meat a few times a week and sleep in a Jeep? Any bridges across the ocean yet?
>>
I save up a bunch of money doing seasonal work then travel during the off season. In October I should have $30k saved and I'm going to go to SEA and then wing it from there.
>>
Fuck you scrubs

Travelling in groups is for normies

Do it alone if you're a true robot.
>>
>>29656530
Yea. I don't want to be that guy who is in his 60's and retired and THAN goes to travel, because it just wont be the same. I want to travel when I'm still relatively young, and for me personally, I really have nothing going for me here except a shit job and a boring life.

As a robot NEET in his early 20's who travels solo: There is no paradise.

Not looking for paradise , just adventure

I don't think it's that feasible to even drive in other countries. I think you need to pay for special licenses and plus I guaranteed there is a bunch of hidden fees too. Also no there isn't a bridge that goes through oceans yet.

>>29656619
That's a ton of money for SEA.

>>29656628
I don't think it's a normie thing.

>>29654672
glad you guys have goals still. my advice: plan it now. set yourself a deadline, then other goals along the way (research, booking, buying essentials) then get it done and stick to your plan.

But remember, you'll always be a robot.

I remember there was the idea for this, and for to film it like a documentary. Basically a documentary about a bunch of robots (failed members of western society) with their different problems and situations, traveling the rest of the world as a group.

How do you afford to travel

Its cheaper than living at home for me.
I find work along the way. Usually at a hostel cleaning up rooms.

>>29658267
>safe money being a wagekek from 17-19
>travel with saved $$$
>use hostels and wwoof to save money

>>29658182
That would be some story, huh. Could win a IDA award.
>>
>>29658778
I agree, the premise alone is intriguing. Anywhere from 3 or more robots with different lives/situations, traveling together and giving their perspectives on the journey.
