Even if one denies (some) environmental concerns (altogether) as being pseudo-science, the net positive that humans' existence has to offer earth is nil.
Insects are ecologically more valuable than us, we disappear, earth and all of its non human inhabitants (other than domesticated animals dependent upon humans for survival) flourish.
One significant species of insect becomes extinct and the earth and all (including us) those in it are doomed.
People need more humility and to accept the reality of their own importance or lack there of.
