I have a question for mixed bots. Do you hate being called mulatto?i just got bitched out by someone for calling them mulatto. I have no idea it was offense. Mulatto sounds more friendly than black.
no i don't care. it's a lot like the word oriental, just outdated

sounds more like a word to describe a coffee than a skin color, maybe that's why she was offended
but I don't think it's offensive
It makes them feel more like an object than a person. Just say mixed.

I prefer it, but no one will call me that.
As a mixed guy, I really don't understand why other mixed people refer to themselves as black. Personally, I'd take mulatto over black every day of the week. Blacks suck.

don't use words out of the vocabulary of a 19th century "racial scientist"

>I prefer it
honestly it sounds like a kinda comfy term for mixed race
it doesn't really have any negative connotations, I see nothing wrong with it
>>29644506
wait does the word have negative connotations?
>>29644520
in general, yes, it's an outdated term that is offensive to some, so don't use it

Does your father know you're on /r9k/ disparaging his race, you ingrate?
literally everyone calls them mixed. Only "racial scientists", autists and /pol/acks call them mulattoes.

I perfer the term mulatto because it describes the mixture of blacks and whites. Biracial sounds pretentious and mixed is too vague. Lightskin pisses me off to no end because blacks would use that term to flaunt their "superiority" over me. Although mulatto is a term that is considered racist, at least it gives me something to identify by instead of living in this eternal half-existence.

come on, mulatto is a legitimate description of skin color
I am brown, I don't get offended if someone said I was brown, mulatto doesn't have any explicit racial connotations
Some on-edge people might find it offensive anon, but I highly doubt most mixed people would. All the mixed in this thread seem fine with it
