He was the original blackpill, spent his entire career writing about how life is shit from the get-go when you're born with shitty circumstances, then argued that happiness was a meme.

http://www.theabsolute.net/misogyny/onwomen.html

Schopenhauer was the most misogynistic man to ever practice philosophy and he would take pride in that label. He also BTFO a roastie once (she was being too loud so he walked out of his room and shoved her down) and broke her arm, but she sued him for restitution and he lost. When she died he celebrated.
>>
His whole wikipedia page is written like an /r9k/ post

> Though his work failed to garner substantial attention during his life,
tfw failure, who /dumb/ here?

> In 1805, Schopenhauer's father died, possibly by suicide
tfw no dad

> Arthur endured two long years of drudgery as a merchant in honor of his dead father
tfw wageslave

> By that time, Johanna Schopenhauer had already opened her famous salon, and Arthur was not compatible with what he considered its vain and ceremonious ways
tfw western civilization is degenerate

> He was also disgusted by the ease with which his mother had forgotten his father's memory
tfw women = whores

> while at university. His mother informed him that the book was incomprehensible and it was unlikely that anyone would ever buy a copy. In a fit of temper Arthur Schopenhauer told her that his work would be read long after the "rubbish" she wrote would have been totally forgotten
tfw mom tells you you're worthless and to kys

> Schopenhauer fathered, with a servant, an illegitimate daughter who was born and died the same year
tfw losing your virginity to an escort to avoid wizardom

> While in Berlin, Schopenhauer was named as a defendant in a lawsuit initiated by a woman named Caroline Marquet.[29] She asked for damages, alleging that Schopenhauer had pushed her. According to Schopenhauer's court testimony, she deliberately annoyed him by raising her voice while standing right outside his door.

I always wonder why emotional/mental distress of men is held with such low regard and why they are allowed almost no avenues for recompense.

Im in a similar position myself. Two people are horrible to one another, the woman gets to be the victim, the man gets institutionally fucked over for, in my case, a decade.
>>
>>29640671

Story says that he slept with the best prostitute of his City.

For free.

I guess it would be more awesome if he made her pay, but that's how the story goes.
>>
Schopeman prolly
Memesche was a cyborg as he only wrote about nihilsm to state that it will be the bane of civilization and that you have to become a big guy to overcome the objective truth.
Diogenes was chaddy but chose robot life, which I fully understand.
Most others that come up on top of my mind, like kant, the D, hegel, wittgenstein led normal lives and were mostly normalfags if not for their thoughts.
>>
>>29641086
That sounds the same as the guy I linked in the OP
>>
>>29641895
> he over reacts
Its probably true, but we don't know how long he'd been getting harassed, if his attempts at resolution were ignored or his mental stability.
It is retarded, institutions seem geared towards wringing men of all their worth.
>>
>>29642080
>Memesche
this, so many people think they're being edgecore writing about "god is dead and we have killed him"

without realizing that the whole thing was a pisstake talking about the fedora tippers of his day.
>>
>>29642281
Well, yeah, I guess over react was a wrong choice of words.

He reacted with the amount of force that would have been appropriate had the recipient been a man, but since she was small and fragile and weak, the courts fucked him over hard.

Or maybe im just projecting because of my own experience
>>
>tfw am diogenes but without the human contact
>>

>which successful writer/speaker on life was most like me?

LITERALLY NOBODY YOU FUCKING IDIOT
>>
>>29641904

Exactly what makes a prostitute "the best"?
>>
>>29642488
Maybe she has the most customers telling 'fishing stories' of their encounters.

So popularity = quality?

>Accordingly, it is as natural for women to dissemble at every opportunity as it is for those animals to turn to their weapons when they are attacked; and they feel in doing so that in a certain measure they are only making use of their rights. Therefore a woman who is perfectly truthful and does not dissemble is perhaps an impossibility.

While people may give a lot of answers to that question, in her particular case: the very high cost of a night with her, and her reputation (though it's kinda tautological).

So basically, whores are like Art, they're worth what people are ready to pay for them.

Does this mean that literally everything that is the most expensive is automatically the best?
>>
>>29642699
What point are you trying to make? That people are dumb for implying that one prostitute is the best? or are you just trying to quantify prostitutes?
>>
>>29642994

I'm just saying, just because I have a product or provide a service that is actually shitty but expensive doesn't make it the best.
>>
>>29643039

If a whore is pricey and still successful, it means rich customers are happy to come back. Like art, she may be overpriced.

An analogy: the book who has the most 5 stars reviews on Amazon isn't necessarily the best book on Amazon, but it has a right to claim so.
