Humans are social animals. As children we learn behavior from adults. When people lived in tribes ten or twenty thousand years ago the adults would not hide from children when they fuck. Then all kinds of changes in social system happened. Now children don't see their parents or other adults fuck, they have nowhere to learn proper sexual behavior. That's one factor.
Now, I don't think homosexuality is unnatural. It's a special mechanism for when there are much more people of one sex in a tribe because of some disaster. So that if there are too few females some of them behave more masculine; hunt, protect the tribe etc. When there are too many males some of them can nurse children etc. This behavior happens in other animals too. Like when there is a herd of only female cows in a dairy farm then one of cows can start behaving like a bull trying to hump other cows.
