It also depends on how much of that weight is muscle vs. fat. I have some muscle leftover from high school/middle school when I wrestled and shit, but I'm probably losing some of that from not having worked out on a regular basis since like 2011. I weigh 184 right now, down from 190-195. I don't have a gut but have small lovehandles and my stomach is flabby. I look about average when in clothing though. 5'7 as well.

Additionally, I went for walks of up to 3 hours when I felt like it. I quickly hit a level where I could run half a marathon in 2.5 hrs, mostly up steep hills and down on the other side. Felt good but the only effect I had was... I started sweating like a motherfucker from doing something very basic, such as cooking or vacuuming my appartment. I didn't even lose more than 2kg in over 2 months. I looked pretty much the same and I still had bitch tits.
Why even try. Like... What the fuck am I supposed to do? I am just not meant to be thin. I will always be the skinny fat pussy. Fuck this.

Thanks, I admit I kind of hate my body instead of "myself". I like myself and think am an okay guy but I just feel disconnected to my fleshy prison eversince. I guess it's because I had a lot of problems that are just genetical but needed surgical attention nontheless. I am not even talking about self-esteem issues and rhinoplasty but things like acne and sinus pilonidalis and horrible stuff like that.

Sometimes I envy the people who have the world as their enemy. For me, my own body is the enemy and I constantly have to fight and overcome it to get anywhere. That fucked up school for me and it already cost me countless job opportunities, etc.

As I said, it wasn't always only 1 hour and I didn't just eat 2200kcal every day and that was that. It depended but I never exceeded 2200. When you run for 1.5 hours you burn about 1200kcal. And of course you need one day inbetween runs like that to regenerate. You cannot do that every day without getting problems with your joints. That's why I started lifting the days I didn't go for a run.
I appreciate your input, though. Thanks. Maybe I had wrong information. I could try again and eat even less but I am not sure I could even pull that off. It was really hard as it was I have to say.

I think you should use a calorie deficit calculator. I just plugged your stats into one, and generally you'd need a deficit of anywhere between 1400 - 1900 calories. I think the running isnt burning as much calories as you think it is otherwise you should be seeing different results. I would say just forget the running, if you want to lose fat, just cut calories.

Do you know how accurate apps like runtastic or the iPhone itself are? I have no idea wether they are accurate or not. Also if I just cut calories I would need to stick to these values for at least one or two years to not get a really bad yoyo effect from all the starvation. However, I get serious problems with my blood sugar that way, I feel dizzy if I don't eat enough. Maybe I am eating the wrong kind of food? I don't know what it is... I checked all the values the same way you did and in multiple apps/services. They all seemed to be close to each other so I just subtracted or added10% from what I got on the apps I used (depending on wether it's calories burned or calories eaten) to be on the safe side.

No no dude, trust me, you've got this all wrong. Yea you'll feel hungry for awhile after you start cutting calories, only because your body is used to sustaining itself with more calories. Your body is only going to use as much calories as you eat. Once you've been eating a lower caloric diet for a couple months, your body is going to adjust, and then that will become your new "normal". You wont continue to be hungry. Your stomach will start to shrink in size, and fat cells will shrink as well.

You're not going to yo-yo if you keep to it for several months. Also, technically you could just cut calories and continue to eat whatever you want, but you should really be eating a lot healthier foods. You should supplement the loss of calories by eating more nutritious and body efficient foods.

Its super easy to overeat and put on weight. Part of weight loss is learning to control yourself once you reach your goal weight. We constantly over eat, even though we dont realize it. We feel we're hungry when we're really not.

You're not overweight, either of you. Out of shape maybe but not at all overweight. A healthy weight at 5'7'' would, depending on muscle mass of course, be around 160lb or so, more if you're muscular.

Let's stop this BMI DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING meme, it's actually a very useful metric for determining health in people with low muscle mass. Unless you're in sports, a bodybuilder or do manual labor chances are you don't have enough muscle for BMI to be significantly skewed.

Yes, bf% is the best metric but much harder to measure accurately.

I haven't seen him with my eyes, and I don't have a machine to give an accurate analysis. Without a hydro static or other machine it's always a guess even with calipers those are wrong on how weight scales especially if the person is more muscular than average.
