The outfits and hairstyles are hot, but the older 'classic' Goth look of blacks, deep blues and grays are only popular with non neo-Goths. The classic look, or minimalistic-modern looking goths, are the ones you want.
Neo-goths look like a modern art coloursplash in a skirt, without the inane value. If they wear bright or saturated colours, they are neo-goths and are literally no different than suburban tumblrites.
