I know that feel. I browsed /ic/ for a year before I realized I'm not gonna make it. Drawing one or two hours a day isn't enough, you literally have to spend 8 hours or more day to get anywhere near good in a year.
If you spend any less time it can take years before you reach the level above mediocre and that's without actually getting paid for it. My biggest problem is I have the time to practice but I don't have any discipline.

If you're even just average at art you can make $$$ by drawing people's fetish shit as commissions. I am a garbage writer but still managed to make a living writing furry erotica for a few months. (I am not a furry)

trying to become a classical musician without a high technical ability in whatever instrument is basically pointless unless you get a youtube channel somewhat popular though. even then you won't be able to live off of the income.
the best route if you want to pursue music without much prior investment is to get into something that is an actual career and play as a hobby. you're not going to become mozart if you aren't a child prodigy basically.

I haven't drawn anything in half a year or more
All that skill I built up to, worked on, wasted.
Realized it just wasnt worth it, I was never that good at it anyways, I could never fully grasp shading, proportions, proper presentation of 3D objects on a 2D space, fucking color even, despite a lot of practice attempts, tons of artbooks I wasted money on because they just sit on my shelf never to be looked at because I can't even remember the last time I sat down to read a book let alone to draw.
I only got started drawing because I was shit at visualizing things and wanted the ideas and objects and scenes in my imagination to come to reality - to create, or I was bored in c,ass and started doodling on the sides of the looseleaf paper. Only it was always half-assed, and I could never tell when I was "done" with anything I was drawing, and looking at the drawing the next day the mistakes and fucked up proportions reveal themselves and sometimes I just left drawings unfinished unsure of how to proceed further.
Maybe I should have instead spent all the time and energy and effort on learning to visualize better instead, as it stands now I'm not much better at visualizing in clarity and vividness as I was before, and drawing- my only skill is deteriorating with each day I don't do it, but I don't feel any desire to, all my art pencils and sketchbooks and artbooks are wasting away now I feel so guilty about that.
I never even wanted to take comissions or have it as a job because I never feel like my work lived up to my own high standards and expectations let alone other peoples.
