I was the same. I just started listing bullshit in my work history. Looked up bankrupt companies and put their phone numbers as references. Finally landed a job last month.
Even if 90% of places do due diligence, you only need to find one of the 10% that doesn't. Also lying on your resume isn't illegal here and you can't be sued for it.
