Actually, the main benefit I've gotten from browsing 4chan has been getting less and less upset about criticism because it happens so often whenever I post. Back in school it only happened once or twice a month on average, so it hit a lot harder, and I couldn't get secondhand experience on how to react from other kids being bullied because I was mostly the only target.

seriously tho, if a guy at Mickey Dees starts to make you feel bad for speaking quietly just remember that you're better than him and power through the shame into a kind of transcendent arrogance and order again. it will work, trust me.
i have the same problem tho (i mean speaking quietly, not making bizarre autist tier 'jokes') an old women told me i'm 'such a soft spoken young man!' as a compliment last month. but it's a pretty shitty "compliment" if you ask me.
