/pol/ stopped being informative and just became shit posting every day about the same crap. /pol/ used to be /news/ and so it maintained that news-ish feel all the way up until like 2010.
then i moved to /fit/, got really hooked, actually got fit and then that was it. /fit/ has a really low ceiling, once you learn what works best for you, there's no reason to go there anymore other than to maybe browse oly general. /fit/ also went to shit. the shitposting is really bad, mods don't care at all. high test threads have nothing to fucking do with health and fitness.

I'm right there with you, I appreciate helping new people learn how to take care of themselves, but seeing every thread as either a FPH or a "Brehs" followed by a picture with a big ass really made me start to loath going there.

/r9k/ isn't my fav board, /adv/ is at this point.
Mostly since there's lots of stuff to gain from there actually.
Before that i browsed /mu/ for hours on end every day for a couple years.
Music is still all i really care about (both playing, producing and collecting muh vinyls), but one can only take the autistic memes on there for so long, and i didn't gain shit from there anymore since my taste was pretty established.
