Australia isn't just one big consistent continent where every single area is exactly the same.
There are parts that are nice to visit but not nice to live and parts that are nice to live.
In my opinion, it's pretty fucking great. Fantastic and varied environment, good climate in most places, generally high standard of living, nice enough people (in all of the places here that I'd want to live, anyway).
There's some parts of Australia that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole though.

- Less people means you can't afford to be choosy about friends if you live in the country
- Shittier internet speeds than Russia, not even making this one up.
