It's going pretty well man, I'm enjoying my jobs. I'm pretty stoked on my coworkers, I'm fairly happy with my work, and I just got my paycheck so I'm going to have a really nice meal and a good bottle of wine tonight at my friend's birthday. Ive only got two days off and a big weekend ahead, but it should be all fine.

That's a very philosophical question, no?
I guess in the technical term, goals help you achieve and accomplish things in the long run and in a bigger picture.
Like let's say your goal is to be in shape and healthy. Those are vague concepts. By setting tangible goals like "I want to lose 50 pounds" you can logically work towards that everyday with meta-goals as well like "only consume X amount of calories everyday" and "work out for X hours, doing the following exercise:" etc.
Same thing with success. "I want to be successful". First define success as a set of goal and break those down into smaller manageable goals.
It's just how you get things done.

It's good actually. You just have people who pop in for a coffee or breakfast bullshit to go and then are immediately out the door. You also have a few 65 year olds who just hang out at McDonalds for most of their days but they're just doing their own thing in a corner of the store.
You won't get soccer moms ordering like 38 different things for their 7 kids or dumb stoner teenagers who forgot how McDonalds works and that they've been serving the exact same thing since like 1973 and hold up the line by going "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm..... maybe like a hamburger?" or drunk people who get into fistfights.
