from the one party i went to in high school

>get drunk and use that as an excuse to be an asshole or a slut
>listen to loud music that you won't like
>pretend to be cool

you'll have loads of fun

Drinking games are a common ice breaker at the start. The night is centred around socialising with lowered inhibition (alcohol), which means much more fun but also the occasional fight. Sometimes they meet new friends, or bond further with old friends. They listen to music and maybe dance if they feel like it. Sometimes they meet a desirable partner for sex or, less often, a relationship. Towards the end of the night there's almost always some drunk people looking after drunker friends.
>>
They all sit around getting drunk and talking about life memories and the future. They also dance.

The one I went to had people playing some trivia game on the TV while I sat in the corner drinking all the whisky.

Girl got fucked in the bathroom by a guy, I know because it was a 3 room condo and everyone was laughing about it.

I made small talk with a girl, and when she left she hugged almost everyone but me, who she offered a handshake to.

I never went to another party again.

They were all my friends college buddies, upper middle class guppies fresh out of college with 80k+ careers and I was a home depot employee

I will never fit in anywhere.

eat, drink
listen to music
get bored
try to find something to do, but there's too many people to do anything
tell the host that your having a great time
rinse, wash, repeat
leave

god forbid you ever admit you're not having fun because then everyone calls you a downer and start talking about how you ruined the party

Socialise.

I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing. Had some drinks, caught up with old friends, ate some amazing food, got drunk, danced to some music with people.

10/10 night would do it again.

Bullshit. Maybe if you hang out with idiots. I've been to parties, gathos, birthdays, all kinds, never seen a fight.

>alcohol helped ruined my family
>I'm the only one who talks to my sister, mom, and dad
>none of them talk to each other
>can't drink alcohol without feeling like I'm like my dad was before
>hate it and never drink
>try going to parties occasionally without drinking
>not enjoyable in any way
>usually leave very early
>parents and their friends drink whenever they're together
>girls I try to connect with enjoy themselves most when they're drunk
>Alcohol will never stop ruling social interaction
>I will never fit

Because I have access to the internet which enables me to surf the web.

Just lie. Or be honest. "I've got a big day at work tomorrow". "It gives me an upset stomach". "I've never liked the taste".

Or just be honest and say you don't drink due to growing up in an alcohol fuelled lifestyle. Honesty can be sexy.

Damn, I know I suck but at least I get a hug whenever a girl leaves a party. It's completely meaningless. I recommend deodorant and reading how to win friends and influence people senpai

>just be honest and say you don't drink due to growing up in an alcohol fuelled lifestyle.
that could be seen as sympathy farming, If someones being pushy by all means use it to get them off your back, but don't drop that on someone who's just trying to be friendly

It's not about needing a reason to give people. It's that I don't enjoy a drinking person's company and they don't enjoy mine.
