What if I want my parents to know the reason why I chose to end my life? It's not about writing something edgy ("depression sux!!!"), it's about giving an explanation so the people who love you will suffer less.

My uncle left one and I'd say that overall his family found it somewhat comforting to know the reasons instead of having to guess at them. Still made them feel like shit and left a dark cloud hanging over them all.

I understand. Obviously a note doesn't replace a person. Suicide is always a dramatic fact and difficult to accept.
