i used to love watching all those old shows as a kid. i love lucy, the lucy and desi show, taxi, mary tyler moore show, i dream of jeanie. taxi was probably my favorite. kind of a shame kids wouldn't even want to bother watching any of that stuff, but back then there wasn't much to watch and that was pretty much the only kid channel on tv other than shitty cartoon network

30 years young, and the days when every music album was a mysterious surprise that I could just pop into my stereo with some headphones and lay on my bed for hours while just taking in all the music and following with the lyrics in the linear notes. One album of music would sound brand-new for months and months

These days I can barely listen to one song without getting bored skipping to the next one, and find myself downloading something new every week.

This too, and nu-metal. Not just the music but the fact that the scene was this weird normie/robot hybrid where everyone was welcome.

23. The early 2000's. This was back when Adult Swim was still pretty good and Cartoon Network still had quality shows. The music was more meaningful during this time. Commercials were more creative and less Normie fag trendy bullshit. YouTube was better when it first came out. Now it's full of garbage. Cell phones were simpler but there was more variety. Now it's just iphone this iphone that touch screen everything. The Internet was better because of less social media and news influence. Websites besides facebook and twitter were actually relevant. This was also before PC and SJW culture really took over Murica.

You're both kind of right. The founders were mostly deists who thought religion was a crock. They wanted to protect free speech so sold it to Puritans and other wacko religious sects as freedom from persecution.

The founders are quoted as hoping all the warring sects and Protestant in fighting would protect speech.

I'm stuck in 2005. I had friends and a gf back then. I got laid for the first time on New Year's Eve (31 Dec 2005) at my best friend's house (in his bed) with a girl my age I truly loved, it was the culmination of eight months of a long distance relationship. I was in Grade 10 she was in Grade 9.

Late night Dungeons & Dragons sessions, LAN'ing Warcraft 3 and Age of Mythology on our laptops while still sitting together in the same room. Friend's dad brought down BBQ and beer while we gamed. Jackass was only a few years old then. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the PS2. Getting high was still socially cool, moo'ing at my mom whenever she called my cell (those were new back then), I would literally just say "moo" and make cow noises whenever she asked when I was coming home. Setting off molotov cocktails in the forest for the initial 7-foot high fireball. Helping my best friend's little sister out with her neopets shit. MSN messenger. Remembering if I ever play DND at an age I can't roll on a d20 (twenty-sided die that goes from 1-20), I'm a loser. Getting cyber from my gf in WoW in the human starting area and the fucking kobolds respawn in that cave, random players to the rescue, they were probably in range of our /em. WoW circa 2005 in general. Running VC as Horde, shit you had to swim to Westfall through Strangelthorn vale, I had the route memorized and led multiple parties. Old school J-Rock like X-Japan, Gazette, Dir En Grey. Moving to a big city, getting torn out of my social circle, breaking up bad with my gf, going to an anime con for the first time, stealing shit from the open air market dealer's room, getting drunk at a hotel after party while still 15, worrying about the neurodegenerative effects of alcohol for three weeks afterwards, free riding the GTA transit (Greater Toronto Area, not Grand Theft Auto) while drunk since it operates on an honor system and only rarely do inspectors check your ticket

random memory thought stream. I'm a robot now.
