I managed to take a shower today, but only because some repairmen came over and I wanted to hide from them. The only thing that gives me the courage to overcome my stupid fears is other stupid fears.
I have so much anxiety about everything and every time I have to do something it's like there's a big wall between my intentions and my actions. Like today I had to send a short email to somebody, just like three sentences long. But I couldn't get myself to do it, I just kept saying, "Okay, at noon I'll do it," "Well, I'll wait until three," "I'm still not feeling up for it, so let's do it at six," and so on and so on. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with me. It'll only take like two minutes at the most, but I just can't fucking do it. There's something seriously wrong with me, it's like I have brain damage or something.

I do this all the time.
My mother tries to nag and manipulate me into doing things that I have anxiety about and have an almost reflexive instinct to avoid and put off. It makes me feel like she thinks I'm an idiot who can't see why I need to do things I clearly need to do. We don't talk about feelings or anything in my family though.
Also, sometimes when I'm required to do something that takes mental effort, even just something as simple as recalling some facts, my brain will just kind of lock up and refuse to think of what I'm trying to think of. It's like I have brain damage.
