Rules:

All of your memories will travel back in time with you.

You will assume your old body on the date of June 27, 2006 at 12:00 AM.

You are not allowed to tell anyone that you have traveled back in time.

You are allowed a 1 GB USB filled with information. What type of information do you place on that USB?

How do you live your new life?
>>
kill myself because there was never any hope
I refuse to reexprience 10 years of suffering
>>
>>29569805
I store info of lotto numbers and sports games
I live my new life as a rich fucker winning bets left and right and becoming the first 50-time lottery winner
>>
Well, I'd be going back to being 8 years old, so I guess I've got a decent amount of space to work with. But honestly with my current mindset, I'd probably just give way to the depression that much more quickly and completely stop functioning.

The USB would have information on buying Bitcoin, any information I could find along the lines of what >>29570015 was saying. I'd also put all of the writing I've done on it, with the hopes of actually being able to finish what I want to accomplish with that extra time. I wouldn't honestly need to take up much space with important things, so I'd probably round out the gigabyte with some of my music, particularly things which won't actually come out for a while.
>>
>>29570015
Wouldn't work, butterfly effect.
>>
Stock info and sports info

I wouldn't want lottery info because I don't want to fuck up who was originally going to win lotto

I would be in grade 11 in 2006 so I would actually know what would be a good degree and career path to put myself on

Also I would smash ptp because I'm underage again
>>
>>29570015
this, but also bitcoins and stocks
>>
>>29569805
June 27 2006 I would be 10 years old. Even if I wanted to do loads of shit I wouldn't be able to.

Like everyone else I'd make a fuckton of bitcoin money but keep a low profile, spend my years just acing exams with no effort while basically unofficially carrying on with my degree. All it really is is more time, butterfly effect would fuck up any of your future knowledge after the first 10 seconds of flashing back.
>>
>>29569805
1 GB of the rarest pepes. I then track down and kill moot to ensure 4chan dies an early and obscure death. I'll have all the pepes that will ever exist. I'll be set for life.
>>
>>29569805
information of all kinds of world events, lotto numbers, and any passwords of companies that got hacked in recent years.

Basically I use all this to obtain money, resources, and control the world. Probably buy space-x or something so I can create an orbital death laser which also serves as a paradise for the NEET elite.
>>
Fill the card with music from the future

That would place me at 13
I'd stop being a hostile fuck, I wouldn't transition, I would castrate myself immediately. I would drop out of school ASAP or take it more seriously, not sure which. I'd get wageslave experience before its too late.

Also I would be more conservative with dxm use because I assume this would come with a tolerance reset.

RIP being able to legally buy smokes and alcohol tho

Also I would get off r9k after the golden age passed
>>
>>29570101
true but would work the first time maybe the second or third if you winning dosnt shift the timeline too much but true no way in hell you are getting to 50 wins

>>

>>
I would store info of varuous stocks and bitcoin but i would alsp try to minimize my footprint. Any activity of you predicting the future with impossible odds would draw too much attention.
>>
>>29570553
You're not getting 50 wins anyway because then people know something is up. Just use the numbers for the first lotto date after your arrival and stop.
>>
Sports scores and stock tips
The only other things I need to fix can be done from memory and the money will help me be in the right place at the right time
>>
>>29569805
I would be 18 years old.

On the USB, I would place the following:
-a simple text file with a little information about upcoming world events
-a simple text file which includes some lottery numbers
-some game and mod projects I've done (in zip files if there's not enough space), with the hope of completing them this time
-some memes I've started
-a text file with some advice (basically the list below)

I would do as follows:
-try to get my driver's license
-focus on school and take it seriously
-start programming sooner
-try harder to get into the "better" university of the two
-if I fail the above item, I'd do a few things differently in my final year in the other university and hopefully graduate sooner
-try to finish and release at least some of the game/mod projects
-if possible, maybe get into 4chan sooner and post my memes there OR if life's vastly different at that point, just avoid the website and forget about my memes
-play the lottery
>>
i would have just tried to ask her out
>>
>>29569805
Names of companies that will blow up, sports scores and outcomes. Thats all I really need to get tons of money, no other info matters.
>>
stocks, lottery numbers, when to invest in bitcoin and all that

could live my school life as a non autist, maybe even a chad if I have all the knowledge/memories of today

i'll take the deal, gimmie
>>
Its the same as 'what would you do if you could do anything".
In truth, people do very hard things all the time they just have to spend all their time and energy working towards their goals to get them.
In this example, most anons here frame it as a superpower like they could just 'do everything right' if they had foreknowledge of world events that allowed them to make money. Like money is the only thing that is holding you down.
You act like you won't get used to it, realize you're still the same person just with a better car and women only talk to you because you're buying them shoes and shit.
If I went back in time? Fuck yeah I'd exploit that shit. But I wouldn't think that it would change anything.
>>
If it was the same universe I just came from, wouldn't doing anything different from what I have already done completely change every future outcome (butterfly effect)?

If it was a different universe wouldn't all the outcomes of sports games, stocks etc etc.. be different, so having any scores wouldn't matter because they will all be different anyway?
>>
>>29569805
>9 years old again
I'm just gonna kill myself
>>
>Fitness advice
>Highlight important decisions in my life that I should do differently
>Encouraging words for specific events

That's really it. I am already intelligent, athletic, and successful. If I change a few things it'll happen much sooner and on a grander scale.
>>
>>29572296
I disagree, the resulting confidence from money status and women will allow most people to adopt certain behaviors that instill a high value mentality.

If a butterfly domino effect didnt take place, I would just invest in various companies and bitcoin. I could then retire and live a life of total hedonism.
>>
>>29572304
>If it was the same universe I just came from, wouldn't doing anything different from what I have already done completely change every future outcome (butterfly effect)?

Not necessarily. I doubt putting on your left sock first instead of your right one is going to affect the winning lottery numbers. Some casual chains just aren't linked.
>>
I think I'd really struggle. 16 years old, I think even routine shit like my stupid job as a cook would totally confuse me now. My parents were totally insane, I don't know if I could deal with them being in charge of me again

I'd start running and eating better sooner. Aggressively go after girls I missed out on. Get my license sooner. Do more drugs in college. Join the rugby team in college. Do more programming outside of school.

I don't really care about money.
>>
>>29569805
me at 15? too late. That would be after I stopped growing so I there wouldn't be any use in changing my diet. All I'd be able to do is to pick a nerdier career path attempt. Oh well
>>
>>29572895
Also there was a crazy girl with huge tits that was into me when I was 18. I blew it because idk how girls work. I wouldn't fuck it up twoce
>>
>>29572895
How old are you? Its nice not to care about money but financial independence and wealth are very important. Every time i hear someone repeat that shit, they are usually poor and say it as a coping mechanism
>>
Stock Information, Bitcoin rates, etc etc
Also two notes. One about that I should go to a specific doctor before I again suffer through 6 worthless fucking operations, a lot of pain and 8 lost years.
The second one is basically just some name of people that I should avoid in every fucking scenario.
>>
>>29572988
I said I was 16 in my post, so if you add ten years....

I'm a programmer. I save up a bunch of money every month, I have run out of shit to buy. A raise would improve my life 0% at this point.
>>
Win the lottery as soon as possible, use money to create minecraft before anyone else.

cash out, become billionaire
>>
>>29569805
>What type of information do you place on that USB?
Most likely a long text file including significant events and dates from then up until now (both world events and personal ones regarding my own life). A list of contacts of people I've met over the years. That, and possibly miscellaneous information regarding media that I enjoy (titles of games, music, shows, films; song lyrics, plot summaries, release dates) that wouldn't have existed yet. Also, compressed image, audio, video files if they could fit.

>How do you live your new life?
Seek treatment for menatl health early on, and try to become aware of my issues to prevent them from getting worse. Become more social to develop and refine my personality. Focus on school and work ethic, join clubs and make the most of what my school has to offer. Form a healthier relationship with my family.

See where it takes me from there.

On a side note, spend a bit of time playing games and music that I missed out on when they first released.

General stock market info.
Every large news story from natural disaster to mass shooting.
How to make a Bitcoin farmer and the exact date when it was released so it's not too suspicious.
The contact info of a couple of my internet friends and the dates of when some communities I was in were created.

I'm going to make a ton of money and give an easy life to those I love. The news is only to make sure everyone I know is nowhere near those areas.
I'll make sure not to make the same mistakes thanks to the knowledge I have now, hopefully my brain won't be as atrophied as it is now if I go back because I'd like to finish high school this time around.

far as the USB goes ill probably bet on the biggest soccer/footaball matches there are and keep all the scores in that USB.
ill probably turn into a millionaire in the first year of doing so then start to to invest in real estate
>>
>>29569805
Win lottery, obviously

After that, i don't care about the rest of what happens. At least my family can live comfortably forever.
>>
>9 years old

No need for any information stored in a USB. Most useful info I got is in my memory already. Maybe I would save some music albums I like that came after 2010. Maybe I would save all of my failed university exams but properly solved, so I don't fail miserably like I did during my first years of it.

>Parents told me that lifting would stunt my growth.
>This time I know the truth, so I begin at age 9 instead of waiting till 18.
>Bully starts teasing me.
>Spit on his face.
>Maybe a kick in the balls (he wouldn't expect it)
>I never get in trouble with the authorities anyway, because of good reputation (irl I actually had a very good reputation at that point)
>I now know that being nice doesn't work
>I'm still nice in front of authorities to preserve the reputation

While my appearance didn't help me much, the main thing that held me back from the normie life during my teens was my autistic behaviour. This behaviour changed just suddenly, little after I turned 18 and had the epiphany that I've always been a loser and not a smart superior being with 360 IQ. Now at days I got a circle of friends, and I have no problem with talking to strangers. I still have some anxiety, but I'm sure it would be completely gone two years from now. Since I'm travelling to the past, that means I would basically be a normie by age 11 (2 years after me being 9 years old).

13 years old, no longer afraid of people, no longer mute autistic fuck:

>"Hey, Anon, did you do today's homework?"(in a flirty tone, expecting me to let her copy from it)
>"Fuck off"(my reaction was opposite irl, cringey shit)
>People stop trying to use me as a doormat
>Be seen as alpha
>Now I know girls are hornier between ages 14-16
>They even fuck the ugly guys
>I discovered this irl after turning 19
>Now I can use this knowledge during my teens to my advantage
>>
>>29572296
I'm in the spot i'm in now because i'm constantly worrying. Worrying about money, worrying about world events, worrying about health.

With a shitload of money, the worry is gone. There's security and peace of mind now, and i won't worry nearly as much anymore. I don't want a fancy car. I don't want women. I want to quit worrying about EVERYTHING. Get a place out in the country, and just live a quiet life.
>>
>>29569805
1gb of information is awfully a lot only few bytes of information would be enough to make you filthy rich all you need is "buy bitcoin"

pretty much if butterfly effect is just meme you can be demi god with 1gb of future predictions

high/low stock prices during the financial crisis of 2008 along with timestamps to know exactly when to buy

>Be first among my friends to lose virginity
>Earn respect

By the time I'm 17, I'm already ripped, successful with girls, and getting the best grades at university.

>Parents think I'm perfect (succesful at both social life and academics)
>They are actually proud of me
>My friends admire me
>Don't even care about getting laid
>It was all about the respect
>I'm able to study properly, since I'm not affected by depression

By the time I'm 19 (now), I would be preparing for my last year of university (2017). Instead, I failed so much that I'm taking courses I should have taken two years ago. Will finish university some time between 2019 or 2020.
>I would have a job right now. In reality, I just sit there and watch porn when not in class, studying, or working out.
>I would be having fun with my friends. In reality, I have lots of friends who even invite me to hang out but I avoid them because I can't get over my hate for "normies", I don't want to lose control and hurt them (it happened before). I'm a fucking brute who deserves dying alone.
>I would not worry about having sex, I already lost my virginity years ago so I don't even think about it, I know what sex is like so no curiosity killing me, I now have more important priorities. In reality, that's the only thing I think about during most of the day, can't stop beating myself for being a fucking virgin.
>I would be happy, no crosses to bear. In reality, I go to bed every night praying to whatever being can hear me that I never wake up again.

You know what I realized by thinking about this for a while? It wouldn't fucking matter. It would probably still be a shitty 10 years. I was already fucked in the head by 2006 (13 years old). Yeah, I could correct a lot of my mistakes over the past decade. But I would just make a fuckton of different mistakes because I would still have all the same anxiety and low self esteem.

All these people are taking things that will get corrupted by the butterfly effect. Take software instead, freindos! You can find all the software exploits in all the programs before anyone else, release ten years of academic work before anyone else and act like you created ten years worth of valuable software, before anyone else. Or, if you learn fast, get the drift of the most important advances in every field of science within the last ten years and then develop the concepts yourself back in time. It will still get you tons of money, but it will also benefit humanity in general and give you massive reputation.

I would be happy. I would cry tears of joy, realizing that I get to lose weight again. I'd be more direct in asking that girl out, rather than cower and fall into depression.

With all of my memories intact, I would do everything in my power to stay away from the internet except for work/school matters. I would fill the USB with memes and posts from here and /pol/, just to remind myself of a self that I used to be and no longer am. I would hardly look through it, if at all.

I would put in maximal attention in towards school, I would work out, be happy, fit and avoid falling into drugs.

But most of all, I wouldn't be here at 23, rotting away in front of a screen for hours, day in and day out.

Your actions would have to deterministically alter the lottery microstates which is extremely unlikely, especially if you play a lottery as soon as you get there.

The "Butterfly Effect" imagery is meant to illustrate determinism, it isn't literally saying that if you clap your hands together you'll change all the future lottery drawings, only that this kind of causal chain is possible.
>>
I'm not very familiar with the butterfly effect but it is interesting to think about. It's amazing that a single actress can change the resulting culture of our country.

The farther you go into the future the bigger the change, and it's just small things that don't really matter at first. Like you walking faster than you would have causes everyone else to have subtle changes as well. Everything could be different but at the same time pretty much the same. But something as small as a random number could change easily. The lotto changing creates a big change when the wrong person gets it. As time goes on the two alternate timelines will get more and more dissimilar until no one is even the same person anymore for different people getting born. But the culture could end up nearly the same. It's not like literally a typhoon happens when you step on the butterfly.
>>
>>29581583
