They're just a wank feast. Nothing special about them. To me, thrash metal influence comes more from the early black metal scene with bands like Hellhammer and Sodom. Slayer and Metallica brought it to the mainstream and all had that one big album and then made a bunch of crap. The big 4 all have good albums, but beyond them, all they have is shit.
