So now that I've officially become a NEET for the first time in my life, what do I need to know? This isn't just some short-term arrangement -- I plan on being a NEET for years on end, perhaps even for the remainder of my life.
My father has recently passed away, which means I've inherited his properties. Now I'm renting these out to people for an average of $450 a week, which I will use for food, utilities and recreation. I don't have to pay rent for my own place, as I'm pretty much just going to stay in one of the houses my father owned in Sydney.
I feel like my plan is fairly water-tight, so I think I've secured my NEET status for at least a few years.

Condolences for your dad, Anon, but holy shit could you do a lot worse than $450 a week. Even AUSdollarydoos. Plus no rent which is sick.

Grats anon, I'd look into selling the properties and putting them in a fund or whatever the best way to do it is, but I've never been in your situation so good luck.

Landlording is a part time job. You need to keep up on maintenance, screen tenants, do taxes, ect.
All it takes it one shitty tenant to cost you thousands in repairs and missed income.
Landlord here. Go onto biggerpockets.com and see what kind of long term income you can expect from these homes.
This will include estimates on repair costs and what amount of slush fund you want to set up.
Tbh, 450 a week seems a little slim.
