It's the same difference between a lost soul who languishes in Hell for a brief time and a devil born to it. The only distinction between Hell and Purgatory is that one can escape the latter.
I like these sorts of threads because they prove a very important point. It's no coincidence that you find such threads day after day on this board; the vast majority of people go on to have sexual relationships. They may be a bit socially awkward, short, poor, homely or fat. And yet people with these flaws, which are supposedly death sentences when it comes to forming sexual relationships, are still people. And as such, the chances are that they will still experience sexual affection at some point. They will still live as people live because, for all of their faults, they are still people.
The ones left behind are the true exceptions, They don't escape Hell because they are native to it, they belong to it, a contract of ownership signed with the very first breath they take.
One can sin in three important respects. A person can sin against his fellow man, and he is consigned to prison. However, in time he can serve his sentence and return to humanity.
A devil sins against God's plan and, consequently, languishes in Purgatory. However, the devil can make amends and live as people live and, in the process, rise up and out of the pit. Even the Muslims believe Iblis will eventually be forgiven.
However, a monster sins against Nature with his unique ugliness, and that is the one unpardonable crime. A monster never escapes Hell. To do so would mean escaping his own flesh and blood.
There are many conflicting accounts and myths about what Hell is like. However, one trait remains consistent: Hell is a very lonely place. That shouldn't be surprising. Very few stay there long.
Even fewer stay there forever.
