Planned economies are a lot more feasible in the modern era with today's computational power, but even the primitive planned economy of the Soviet Union functioned reasonably well prior to 'market deregulations' (which saw the country return to third world conditions in many places).

Like locally we had a dispute with the maritime union and a major stevedoring company. The company was breaking the law left, right and centre (and colluded with parts of the government and the military) but the unions stayed 'legit' and got walked all over.
It was the start of the unions basically being cucks. Had they held their ground (even within the bounds of the corporate-biased law), it turned out the company was bluffing anyway. They would have easily won the dispute.

I got into a bit of an argument concerning the confederate flag and why I think it shouldn't be banned and I had a few friends call me a racist to my face. Depends on what aspects of it you praised. Nobody's gonna take it personally, for instance, if you say a nationalized economy is a functional concept. Or even if you argue that an image of a strong leader may be more effective in rallying support than a faceless party apparatus.
