well, that may be because not everyone is as knowledgeable in music, maybe the majority of people like one group and the rest dont because its boring, maybe the opposite. I noticed myself, that I start liking music more when I realise how difficult it is to recreate the style myself, that's if it is difficult to recreate, it makes me more appreciative of the style knowing that I couldn't continue the process of creating it myself.
