so anons, do you self-medicate yourself with alcohol alone in your room? Sometimes I do.... but I've known a person who self-medicated himself every day and ended up an alcoholic.

alcoholic here, and I'm on a drying process now. haven't had a drink in 9 days and I have to tell you that I feel totally worse than without a drink. life is shit and im just anxious and depressed. the drink was a friend and a lover, without it i am just a bread crumb that is about to be given to pigs for dinner

Yeah, 3 or 4 times a week. My dad self-medicates daily, and I know I'll be at that point within the next 5 years or so. Oh well.
I've noticed that I'm especially bad when I have no responsibilities. When I have shit I need to get done, I still drink a lot, but I don't let it interfere. So I have that going for me, at least.
