Bahamut dragoon is pretty good. You feed dragons which makes them transform and the combat system is more interesting than the usual turn-based bullshit in jrpgs, and I don't mean like how it's done in chrono trigger or secret of whatever either. Nothing against those games though, they're solid choices too, but you can't evolve dragons based on what they eat. I liked chrono triggers combo attacks though.
