It means that the EU legislation governing all areas of our lives is now a vacuum waiting to be filled by Tory legislation, by ministers that UK citizens know are in cahoots with capitalists and profiteers, sitting next to each other at the same business summits and weddings.
It means that an entire generation is no longer able to travel and work across Europe as they see fit, as they have been able to their entire lives so far.
It means that the price of most commodities will rise indefinitely (nothing in the average UK supermarket is grown or produced in the UK).
It means that our coasts and countryside are no longer protected by EU legislation, meaning that property developers can make their own deals with local authorities.
It means that Premier League football, and English football in general, our national sport, will be thinned of talent at youth level and beyond.
It means that our European brethren now consider us xenophobic pariahs.
The problem was that there are an awful lot of bitter, disenfranchised working-class people in this country who saw a no vote as a fuck you to Cameron's government, rather than any kind of considered decision. There are also a lot of people that see immigrants as a scapegoat for very subtle, complex problems in their life and in society in general, and they believe that a no vote will remove those immigrants, and thus improve their quality of life.
Also, the referendum was called for extremely petty reasons: infighting in our ruling party. Now successive generations will bear the brunt of this decision. The fallout will last for decades.
In short, misinformed working-class voters and Eton-educated elite politicians have decided on behalf of the rest of the country to limit our opportunities, and generally make our country a greyer, more testing place to live and work. That's why there's so much anger.

Although Brexit has some genuine merit, most leave votes came from disenfranchised areas of the UK where people just want to "stick it to the man". The "man" in this case being the EU. Ironically however, these same areas are propped up by EU funding, and there's no clear sign that leaving will do anything but cause more economic repression. People are naive to trust that the British government will be able to 'fix' the country in lieu of EU directives.
