Hello. I am much more of a casual club player, and I have never really had a reason to record any of my games. Would you be interested in trying to do some chess puzzles? I have access to a pdf file with several hundred of them, if that interests you.
Since they are not listed by difficulty, I'll just choose a few that look fun.

I tried to get into chess, but I kept getting lost, even in beginner-level stuff about openings and such. I couldn't see ahead very far, and nothing "just came to me", I had to mentally try out moves one by one and think "okay, what could happen if this piece was here?" It was like starting from scratch with each move.
it was a pivotal moment in my realizing that contrary to what I once believed, I'm not all that smart.

I'm sure that you could be very intelligent even if you are somehow naturally predisposed to suck at chess. You don't have one, general level of intelligence; rather, several different ones that relate to different things. If you are quick with other things, don't let chess alone get you down.odds are that you aren't exceptionally intelligent, though
