Waiting for brexit results edition
All the Indians in work are voting leave
>>29488347
Blog posts are sometimes written about the events of the previous day
>tfw perfectly average willy (6.5x5.1)
>6'5 so it looks tiny
not that anyone will see it anyway
Come on lads, make Britain great again.
Vote leave!
Reminder
>Poleaboo is starting HRT next week
>Poleaboo is starting facial laser hair removal next week
>Poleaboo is turning 25 tomorrow
Ok Poleaboo, here is my plan for your birthday.
First thing we'll do is go to the Guiness Book of World Records exhibit. Then we'll head to the Nickelodeon UK studios where they broadcast live. We can't get in but we can look around the building.
After that we'll go and play video games at Sega World, and then go on the Pepsi Max Drop ride. After that we can go to see something at the Pepsi Max IMAX 3D cinema.
What do you think lad?
Ramadan fast opens at 9.45 again today
>>29488507
That sounds wonderful but I'm not sure what area of the UK that stuff is located?
I'm willing to travel a bit
>6-month "performance review" with Mr. Shekelstein tomorrow
Maybe I'll get fired and be able to spend lots more time with you lads
Who else voted today?
Literally no one else voting when I went to the Village Hall at 11am this morning to cast my vote.
Do people not realise the referendum is today?
>>29488449
Why did you ignore my invite to come to Cumbria. I just want to go swimming
>>29488559
Wagecucks work during the day which is why the poles are open until 10pm.
Vote leave!
>>29488544
That's the amazing thing lad, all of that stuff is in the Trocadero! Obviously you'd need to get there, but once you are there then it's all under one roof!
>>29488587
I live in a village full of retirees and dole wallers.
Have they all forgotten it was today?
>>29488587
polling stations*
I don't know what I was thinking.
>>29488587
>Poles
Pun intended?
>>29488610
Old people get up at like 5am so they probably already went, the dole wallers well you've just answered you own question.
Around here everyone has vote signs posters up.
>>29488568
Cumbria is too far, don't want to spend 3 hours on a train on my birthday
>>29488588
ah, can't go to London either
>>29488641
Nah, I'm just silly when it comes to spelling. >>29488612
>tfw you've ruined your life with a shitty degree
i just want a comfy career guys but my young self didn't think about anything like that
Enjoying the political discussions today. I love when liberals try to patronise me on subjects I'm much better informed on.
>>29488692
It's not too late to turn things around anon, are you reasonably fit and can you swim? Then a career in hyperbaric welding may be for you.
>>29488692
Our careers adviser in 6th form: "Oh don't worry, any degree will do, just so long as you HAVE one!"
I feel like hunting him down and murdering him
>>29488692
Define comfy. If you mean easy, indoors and pay ok, then civil service
>>29488648
>can't go to London
To be honest it's for the best lad. Just found out some news.
Apparently the Guiness World of Records exhibition closed in the mid 1990s. Nickelodeon moved to Camden Lock and don't broadcast live anymore. The Pepsi IMAX closed in 2000, along with the Drop Zone ride. And the Sega World lost the Sega sponsorship, turned into "Funland" and reduced in size. It was finally closed forever in 2014.
So really it would have been a big disappointment.
>>29488738
I'm fit but I swim like a brick. Thank you for the meme response though.
>>29488741
Same here. It's still my fault for listening/my own choices but jfc I hate the "Any degree = instant success" meme schools peddle
>>29488331
>Birds are nothing more than a game to me.
>Spend months at a time strategically planting eggs into other birds' nests, and playing mind games
>Get bored of someone after a while and move on to my next victim but that's okay because there's literally billions of you dirty little flying rats to fuck around with.
>Some of them actually believe I care about them as fellow birds but the truth is I only use them for my personal advantage and entertainment
>>29488741
Used to be true when the economy was good. I'm guessing he said this before 2007.
Which one of you lads did this?
http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/weird/14456048.WTF___Man_in_a_van_hands_out_weird____sex_ticket____to_woman_in_Bexleyheath/

>>29488756
That's basically it senpai. Chill and comfy with alright pay.
>>29488495
Even shout has turned to the dark side, it pains me to see how weak you all are
>>29488786
Nah, this was mid-crash. 2010ish.
>>29488692
At least you have a degree and not just 30k of debt and a criminal record like me
>>29488760
I'm sure I'll make it down to London one day
>>29488768
I suspect schools peddle that line so that they have good statistics in terms of "number of pupils who progressed to uni"
If you forced schools to report back after 10 years on how many of their former pupils went into professional careers post-uni that'd embarrass them.
>>29488830
That's exactly it fampai.
Tbh I think we need to tell kids before they choose A-Levels not just uni...your A-Levels really limit your degree choices depending
I have no idea how I get a real career going now. I'm just desperately trying to find some basic office work so I don't starve to death
>>29488797
He's a retard then but you should also have known better than to listen to him.
Having said that I studied a useless degree, graduated in 2008 and I am doing alright.
At the end of the day a good degree is no guarantee, and no degree is going to be a substitute for being intelligent, good with people, creative, persuasive and, above all, resourceful.

Have you just graduated?
Bear in mind that a decent number of grad schemes are nepotism in-all-but-name, especially with medium sized companies and in the engineering/oil/legal/finance sectors.
Go direct to company websites, don't just rely on shitty job search websites. Car manufacturers, electronics/tech companies, supermarkets, logistics. Those kind of businesses.
A lot of business is automated, but they still need people to answer phones; respond to emails; organise correspondence etc.
Good luck

I'm a marketing manager. I'm 27 and I make 57k a year which I think is good for someone with a politics degree from a fairly shit tier uni. Having said that I live in London so I still don't feel flush, but it's comfortable.
>How do I do something good?
The thing that really helped me is choosing what I wanted to do and focusing on that, rather than just applying for any job that sounds ok.
To be honest applying for jobs is a mugs game. Instead you need to make contacts in the industry.
The best way to do that is to write to people, give them a compliment about their work (people love flattery) and ask them sincerely for advice. Not a job, just advice. That way you'll get good advice and also a contact. You might have to write to a lot of people but eventually someone will give you some advice.
Worked for me, although of course it wasn't easy.
>>29489046
>answer phones; respond to emails; organise correspondence etc.
Follow your dreams anons, believe in yourself, try hard, and any one of these jobs could be yours...
>>29488648

You'd be best off trying to get into management in whatever your trade is, if that is possible. Or else do it entrepreneurially.

>>29489425
Aren't you able to think for yourself mate?
>>29489046
Yes I have just graduated. Waiting on results but its almost certainly a 2.2 in a degree in Languages (German & Italian)
>>29489101
Yeah I get it but how on earth do I go from shit degree no real work experience to "making contacts" and having these contacts offer me anything?
>>29489448
it closes in 2 mins you gonna make it?
>>29489468
I told you mate. You write to them, give them some flattery about their work, and ask them sincerely for advice on how you can follow in their footsteps.
Honestly man, considering I am having to repeat myself to you, then I am thinking that you might not make it.
>>29489461
I did. This was 6 years ago and I ignored it completely got a 1:1 and got into the industry related to my degree but the fact that someone got payed to give out bad advice still angers me.
>>29489511
I understood what you meant mate but I bet you had some internships or some shit that made you stand out a bit you're not some blank slate cuck like me
just writing to someone on linkedin "omg dude ur so gr8 how do i b like u?" isn't gonna get me hired
Are we getting any exit polls or early indications?
>>29489555
nice trips bro
I don't think they're doing them, just gotta wait
>>29489540
No you're wrong man, I started just like you.
2:2 in a shit degree from a fairly shit uni.
>just writing to someone on linkedin "omg dude ur so gr8 how do i b like u?" isn't gonna get me hired
It's not going to get you hired, but it's the first step to making contacts and getting advice. And eventually that will get you hired.
Obviously the way you write to them is very important. You need to research them and find out about one of their actual work achievements to compliment them on, something that you'd genuinely like to replicate in your career. Not compliment them on their CV.
You have a defeatist attitude. "It's not gonna work!" That is going to fuck you up man. Trust me.

But I need to try to think of a career track to go down idk what though.
I have thought marketing but it's so general idk what that even could mean job-wise.
>this woman on BBC One saying that even if Remain win by only a small margin this will be the end and we can go back to the status quo
Lel are globalists really this arrogant?
Even if Leave lose, the spark has been lit.
>>29489661
not if we leave the european cucknion
I do plan on retaining my languages skills no matter what I do (particularly the German, fuck Italian the greasy wops)
>>29489471
Yeah just made it, I must have been the last person in Britain to vote.
>>29489666
Prospects.ac.uk is a decent website.
I dunno how good the career matching quiz is, but the descriptions of careers are good to read.
Try to find something that you think you'd be good at and that you wouldn't hate too much. Then stick to that and don't stop until you get a job even if it takes years.
I graduated when I was 21 and it took me until I was 23 to have a decent job in the field I wanted to get into. But then after that it was clear sailing up the ladder. The key is to never give up.
>>29488331

>>29489788

>99.5% OF SCOTLAND VOTES REMAIN
>>29489917
Well obviously no one is going to give you a programming job if you can't prove you can do it.
But you don't necessarily need a CS degree to prove you can do it.
One way in would be to contribute to open source projects and have all of your contributions listed on Github, for example.
Then you can back it up.
WE CAN STILL DO IT LADS, WE CAN WIN
>>29489936
We'll see mate. If the results are as close as the polls say, even if Leave lose that is a massive amount of people going out and democratically making noise against the establishment. The same thing is going on with the following Trump has gained in the States. The same thing is going on in elections all across Europe. The fact that such vast swathes of people are now willing to raise their voices against globalism and the corporate run old guard, that is very significant to domestic and world affairs going forwards.
Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a cup of tea and I literally screamed at her and hit the cup of tea out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the results tonight. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck is brexit not happening? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the UK still in the EU. I want a future to believe in. I want Brexit and fix this broken country. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. varoufakis is another shill desu
him, corbyn and owen jones is this awful triumvirate of corporate shills pretending to be "leftist" in order to subvert real workers movements.
everybody knows that reform of the EU is entirely impossible - especially instigated by one country
the entire point of the institution is to provide capitalists with despotic rule over the entirety of europe, it can't be "reformed" to somehow serve the people
I'm fucking scared lads.
If we lose, we'll be officially defeated. I'll have to say to my future kids that their ancestral homeland is under occupation by a foreign power. I'll have to spend the rest of my life constantly defending myself because people will laugh at the fact that I was born in a country that unconditionally surrendered by popular vote. From an empire to a federal subject.
Not only will the remain result fuck us, it'll fuck all the other European countries that wanted freedom.

that party has always stood for the interests of capitalists, finance etc. - don't even know wh he's a member really
especially these days when half of the party is made up of fucking blairites
>>29490668
I'm not a retarded leftist, but at least the oldschool leftists actually stood for something that made sense.
Modern liberals are just pieces of shit who believe whatever garbage they're told. They think they're anti-establishment special snowflakes hating on the banks while also holding all the positions that the banks and the powers controlling government want them to have. They claim to be for worker's rights, and yet want to flood our nations with 3rd world immigrants, for example. It's complete bullshit.
>>29490715
liberals aren't leftists
neoliberalism is not marxism
>>29490149
Yes they are now the dominant force in scotish politics and go on about a new referendum all the time.
They are in the sweet spot were they fuck up and then just blame westminster
>>29490597
Varoufakis is certainly not a shill. The powers in the EU hated him so much that they made Tsipras get rid of him during the Greece talks.
>>29490715
no they aren't
"leftism" describes individuals and groups who work towards economic and social reform in order to create a more egalitarian society
liberalism is the process of making small compromises towards leftism in order to preserve the capitalist order - the tories legalising gay marriage etc.
they are diametrically opposed
L-lads, what if we remain? I'm not sure I'd be able to take it.
>>29490760
he ought to have purged the blairites from day one
they're a fucking fifth column just waiting to fuck his shit up
but people join establishment parties because they want to make what small gains they can as soon as possible rather than joining more radical parties further from the mainstream and less likely to achieve power
its not very ambitious politics but that's all i think there is to it
>>29490776
yet he has repeatedly called for britain to remain in the EU - promising the ludicrous pipe dream of "reform"

>>29490853
zizek is a nazi also btw
i don't think there's any possibility of "difference of opinion" on this issue on the left
the Eu is a capitalist organisation
it is of capitalism, it serves capitalist interests, it cannot be reformed or changed to serve the interests of the very people it was set up to exploit
a european union of workers isn't impossible - but turning the EU into said union is.
>>29490894
>But its a lie and he knows its a lie, there is no reform
it's not a lie, he's been trying to create a movement for the reform of the EU

>it's not a lie, he's been trying to create a movement for the reform of the EU
With no success in an organisation which is forming 'reeducation camps' and will be founding an army.
Dissenting opinion will crushed in the EU soon
>>29490744
>libertarians
I just think of the American system.
lefties are liberal green vegan save the earth types.
righties are liberatarian. that's the opposite of the liberals. Maximum Freedom, Minimum Government
>>29490970
>>zizek is a nazi also btw
>come on now
what? his racist writing is very well documented
he seems to spend more time telling racist anecdotes and stories than talking about actual reform
>>29491016
In my mind liberal should just be the short form of libertarian and the people who use liberal now should use the term 'cuck'
hahaahahahahahahahah fuck all of you leave wankstains
pay my bennies
pay for my pies
pay for my curries
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
NEETs win again you cuckholds!!!
>>29491016
libertarianism isn't a thing outside of a few insane millionares and /pol/ memesters
it's not really in anyone's interest
Was probably rigged, though, the system was cheated in a sense that everyone is allowed to vote - including the 3 million asylum seekers and 8 million Scottish who hate everything about the UK. kind of fucked from the start with those conditions, surprised it even got that close.
that's what you get when you don't carry a sharpie around with you everywhere you go
>>29490894
Clegg's centre-right Liberals were a pretty good pick for my values. It's a shame Farron has dragged them back to the left. The only thing I disagreed with Clegg on is the EU.
>>29491084
scots are the fucking worst
>we want our own country and our own assembly and our own party and our own policies!
>but we're not going to vote for independence!
>and despite being given the option to break away from england, we're still going to vote opposite them and drag england down with us!
And now I hear the scots are having talks about doing another fucking independence referendum. AFTER they fucking ruin the EU referendum for england. God save the queen.
>pound rising already
might put on my simpsons pyjama's tonight for a change
>>29491138
More like save England from themselves.
You stupid cucks want to cuck yourselves.
FIRST RESULTS DECLARED
GIBRALTAR:
Leave: 823 (4%)
Remain: 19,322 (96%)
>>29491345
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Fuck Brexit. Fuck Farage!
EU FOREVER!
>>29491345
it would be funny if it was all like this, because last year everyone was vocal about ukip and they did so badly.
>>29491378
it's fucking gibraltar. they've be completely fucked and cut off if things with EU/spain turned sour. They're also a tiny fraction of the population and aren't largely relevant.
>>29491385
UKIP did fairly well in terms of actually garnering support. The issue is that their large fraction of support didn't translate into getting any seats due to first-past-the-post voting
accidently picked up a scotch bonnet thinking it was some mini pepper, put it in my tea, turns out its not like a pepper but more like a chilli,
>mfw people getting their hopes up, thinking there's a chance we'll leave
Normies don't like changed, and this was shilled hard enough that they'll turn out. Its over
>>29491461
Jo's death ws the final nail
>>29491345
>>29491429
What retards, Gibraltar has been bristish for 300 years and was still British during WW2. bunch of fucking cuck retards
>>29491429
Why would you like to destroy their lives anyway?
You didn't give a fuck about them when you were whining about MUH SOVEREIGNTY like a pathetic cuck who is bending over for Farage and the Queen.
You're literally a fucking faggot mate, glad you are BTFO.
>>29491385
UKIP got 4 million votes the SNP got like 1 million.
SNP has 60 seats
>>29491545
Thankfully the votes of university educated Scots count for more than the votes of ignorant, uneducated English fools.
It's a good system.
>>29491538
so to be clear, a rock with a population of 30k should determine what's best for the other 64%.
Look, I'm fine with them having a say. All I'm saying is that showing a result from Gibraltar and saying BTFO based on that is fallacious. It'd be like if I took a 2012 result from some county in kansas and said HAHA OBAMA BTFO. Well maybe or maybe not, but you can't tell from that sample because different areas vote different ways.
>>29491594
*64 miIIion
Lads, political incompetent here, is this vote based on number of people or majority's of constituencies?
>>29491538
>Why would you like to destroy their lives anyway?
How would it destroy their lives?
How is staying and importing rapists and terrorists not more damaging?
>>29491594
It should when you are literally going to completely fuck up the lives of 30,000 people, just so that you don't have to hear a Romanian voice in the supermarket.
>>29491461
Fear of change always wins. Change has to be forced.
Also, it'll be rigged. If we leave then other EU countries will start demanding referendums. Maybe France or someone will call for a vote.
That would destroy the EU and drag the world into another great big economic collapse.
>>29489040
I'm so glad that our country is being ruined by happy faced nu-male millennial cucks
>>29491625
Because there are plenty of people in Gibraltar who need to cross the border to Spain every single day. You want to make it impossible for them to do that, so they lose their jobs.
>orkney
micro-regions bantering everyone
>douglas carswell admitting the poster was done and saying that implying extending the deadline is cheating is dumb
dont think id ever vote ukip but if he was running in my constituency this would definitely stick in my mind
>>29491652
>nu-male millennial cucks
>>29490322
wtf I hate scotland now
so are people staying up for the result or just waiting till morning?
I heard between 3-4 you`ll know which way its going.
>>29491652
unless you were born before 82 you're a millennial too m8e
>>29491619
All votes count the same in this referendum. Whoever gets the most votes wins.
newcastle was projected to be 63% remain and the results show almost 50-50
HAPPENING
>>29491797
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU WIN BY AN INCH OR A MILE
WINNING IS WINNING
>>29491771
Mate it's already clear how it's going.
Brexit faggots BTFO.
EU! EU! EU!
Lots of Twitter bods are saying that Labour voters never showed up to vote, or voted against Corbyn, leaving the path clear for Leave.
LADS LADS LADS
>>29491807
the final result isn't by constituency. Each vote is equal and all votes count. The fact that a place that was thought to be overwhelmingly for Remain is only barely scraping by is a sign that Leave has a shot.
Hoping for a miracle here.
CLAP MAN SHIRE IN
>>29491861
4 declared
4 Remain wins
Let it go anon
Why do you all want to leave, there are only false stats and promises. It's just getting the richest even more money.
>>29491889

>>29488331
fucking boiling lads
>>29491947
The EU turned those places into shitholes.
>>29491889
It's not by constituency, retard. Look at the actual numbers and look at the districts.
Just because the libcucked areas are voting first doesn't mean jack shit.
Sunderland are cool guys.
>>29491967
>Implying leaving EU will do anything with immigrants or immigration numbers
>>29491975
but they were shitholes before as well
are we gong to be forced to pay 250k per immigrant we don't want? or is that shengen only?
>>29491947
gee, it's almost as if the areas affected by the negative aspects of the EU are those that want a change, whereas the rich yuppies that are comfy with the way things are and don't have to deal with it themselves don't care.
Really
Makes
You
Think
You saw the same thing happen in the US primaries. Gee, the areas that are overrun by mestizos are the ones where people voted for Trump, whereas the areas that are almost entirely white and don't have to deal with those problems voted cruz.
Also, are you implying scotland isn't a shithole?
Anyone have a link live updating link to the results?

He's right, though. It rose until Sunderland, then people pulled out. They're just going by the latest result each time. It'll rise again if the next result is remain, then drop if the one after is leave. It'll keep doing it the entire night.

Paki. If you have even 1% of Greek blood in you, you're a paki.
Look at Prince Phillip. He is a certified Paki.
