"Being yourself" means acting in social situations comfortably, and in a manner that's true to yourself. People tend to hold back and put on a mask when they're meeting new people, they don't want to be vulnerable by displaying their actual personalities. However, this makes you boring. The more safe you are the less interesting you are, even if you manage to embarass yourself less.
The problem with "be yourself" to a robot is that normalfags desires and dreams and beliefs are socially acceptable. Normalfags are incapable of empathy, therefore they assume everyone is the same, and that their true selves are interesting, socially acceptable, and will get them friends. This is absolutely not the case for a robot. If a robot is to be himself, he will immediately be shamed and ostracized.
