As I pass through the rest of my day, I imagine the disgust of any woman who had to be subjected to the touch of something like myself. I trade places with her, and consider the trauma of being touched by the same thing I have to look at in the mirror. It's more than enough to stay my hand.
I am a monster, to be sure. And it it only by reminding myself of this on a daily basis that I prevent myself from becoming a devil.
