Can we have a self improvement generam?
Instead of just bitching about how we lost the genetic lottery, let's try to improve ourselves and be positive for a change.

Invited:
Robots who have made it and who want to give advice

What have you done recently to improve yourself and what are some goals of yours? Even if its just for the summer

I bought a $150 thinkpad recently and also rented a vps to just fiddle around with linux and stuff. It's pretty fun and will hopefully teach me valuable skills. I also have a camera coming in the mail because I've always liked taking photographs with my phone, but phone cameras a shit. This should be pretty fun and give me something to do for quite a while. I'm also trying to at least get laid this summer by forcing myself out of my comfort zone and talking to people, even strangers. Lots and lots of spaghetti and no success so far, but I'll keep at it

I also have pretty bad rosacea and am going in for laser treatment in a few weeks. Fingers crossed because that is definitely not good for confidence

What about you anon? Are you tired of wallowing in your own misery and want to make a change?

I started and now regularly do

>brush teeth
>clean face
>excersize
>escaping skeleton mode
>dont play vidya
>one hobby (skateboarding)
>chilling with different friends, once every 1-2 days
>read often

I got

>"in" clothes
>lowkey accessories
>some social networkings
>many numbers

Looking at it now, I've come far, but I've also been rejected quite a few times and often i believe I've gotten nowhere and im still a loser no matter what.

Go to your nearest cvs or similar store and buy acne treatment cream.

Soak your face in warm water, then take a dime sized squirt of the cream, rub it all over your face. Then wash it off with cold water and rub it off with a towel.

last year I managed to read like 10-12 popular science and introductory texts to all kind of topics that sparked my interest.

along the way i read a psychology text that taught me that i have avoidant attachment and that basically there was a long term experiment with like 50 women with this problem and they all had it for 30 years and never changed so not looking good for me...

>>one hobby (skateboarding)
I always thought this was a cool hobby. How'd you get into it?

I started exercising again last week and I'm cutting down the number of times I get fast food or drink soda. I fucked up today when I went out to get groceries because it was packed so I just went home and got some Carl's Jr. on the way home. I'll go back after class tonight.

I've been reading more too. I started reading three books in the fall/winter (I was acting strangely due to stress) and I finished one this morning.

I've also fixed my sleep schedule and have been shaving every day, I'm not sure what to do about my hair. I've also deleted my porn and stopped watching internet porn (except briefly today). I also haven't jerked off for a week but I think I will only continue this for a month. I didn't have major problems with masturbation it was just something to use as an escape when I'm bored.

Other than that I've been working and going to night classes.

My plans are:
1) Buy groceries and start cooking all my meals other than social eating.
2) Buy a bike so I don't need to walk anymore (it's too hot and I dislike riding the bus).
3) Finish my book backlog.
4) Start going to a gym, swimming or both.
5) Go hiking or kayaking every week and visit one new location every month.
6) Visit my brother who is in the Marines.

Working out for nearly 4 months straight. Cut out added sugar and eating healthier as a whole. I would say aesthetically I've made it.
>>
>>29469236
Go to the doctor and get a prescription for acne. Give it a month and you will see a huge improvement

Best advice I have to give is this:

If you have completely given up on everything. It literally means you have nothing to lose.

Focus on doing things you want to do without caring about consequences. If you die at the end that is the end of the road but remember you have nothing to lose so that shouldn't be a problem.

Never ever blame others for anything. Find mistakes in the fails that have come around and try to improve them. There is always place to improve.

Always give yourself feedback and when someone criticises you see it as an feedback and just say thank you for the feedback and try to evolve to be as good as possible in what you do.

Never be afraid to help others, and don't expect anything in return. A thanks, a wink, a handshake or a prayer is more worth than some number of a girl or money.

ANd never give up your dignity. You will stand out as a real man among all those man whores out there.

My brother had an old skateboard from years ago still in the house. I just picked up and went on the driveway, focking around and balancing on it.

I talked to my skater friend and he taught me to ollie and fixed the board. Started learning to ollie and now i board everyday. One of the only things i find any joy in.

Pick up a cheap board from a store or the internet and hop on it. Im not athletic or sporty so dont worry about it, its a solitary, non-competitive fairly intense activity.

The best part is how good it feels to progress, and how progress comes slowly, but clearly. Landing a trick you've been working for a month feels fantastic.

It is hard, though, and you'll have to put in practice.

I've had my girlfriend for 4 years now, but I'm 22 and worried I missed the prime of my life by being with her
She's my first girlfriend and I think I love her, I just don't want to grow to resent her for stopping me having fun when she experienced more of a social life than me, since I seem to sort my shit out socially a lot later than she did
also, since I know a lot of people are obsessed with cuckolding here, she wasn't a virgin but I was

I used to longboard, looking back that shit was scary. I got so many scars from crashes. Would not recommend.

I've been trying to start to work out. Got a exercise bike for Christmas, I feel like its made a difference with my heart health, but I don't do it regularly enough.
I'm trying to start doing bodyweight excercises 3 time a week, to try to lose a little weight, but I'm not able to control my diet atm so its easy to be discouraged about it.

I've been trying to be more social, but I haven't really had much luck.

I've been doing well in school, and plan on getting my a+ and N+ certs soon.

Been standing up more while on the computer instead of sitting down all day.

Been on and off nofap for what feels like forever. I always get to 2 or 3 days, then remember that theres not much point as I'm not going to have sex atleast until I can move out. Its a shame too because after just a few days doing it I actually start being more personable and start forcing myself to talk to girls.

I really need to start going outside more to get more sun, really try to commit to nofap/noporn, ban 4chan from my computer, start talking to people on my radio, and start volunteering on the weekends to get out the house, but I always manage to lose my motivation because I feel lonely and depressed.

>lowkey accessories
What do you mean by this?

>>29469691
The hard part is finding things you want. I do not feel content in life but there is little i want to work towards. Most of my days are boring as fuck.

Tbqhfam, its all pointless. I just kinda exist now. This might be "negativity" but its true.
1.You start improving and go butt mad over being the best, achieving temporary happiness.
2.Your improvement slows down, or something bad happens in your life, and you start to become less enthusiastic.
3.You either quit, or end up like me, memeing it up in LaughterSadness.

>>29469815
You should literally find out what you want to achieve. And the best way to do that is to learn about yourself.

Do you actually know who you are? What your best traits are? What you actually can and can't do? What are you afraid of? What has gone through your past? What are you regrets?

The only thing that is more important than anything on this planet is yourself. If you don't know yourself and can't accept yourself you should start with that.
After that write everything down and start thinking about goals. What is your biggest dream, what is it you always wanted.

Set your dream and start making small steps towards your goal. Cleaning your room or whatever is even a small step towards your goal.

Everything is an oppurtunity to take and with every oppurtunity you will better yourself.
