I thought all employers these days facebooked people before bringing them in to interview. I really want to e-mail him and just tell him that I'm black but that's obviously not acceptable. Do I waste my time and go to the interview or what? How do I get them to not care about my skin color? I am not super confident and talkative like other black people.

Your issue doesnt sound like race
It sounds like you arent confident enough do succede at an interview. Being white wouldnt fix your problems. The fact that the interview was awkward is why you didnt get the callback.
