You know, they probably think San Antonio and barbecue and guys names Mark are pretty exotic. I get what you're saying, but "exotic" is a relative term.
No idea, dog meat is greasy and stringy
If I had to make a guess though I would say it's because dogs are fairly cheap to raise and breed in litters and that's why they get used for their meat in poor countries

Its not about taste. The only people that ever ate dog were people who were facing famine and starvation, and there are plenty of stray dogs.
of course some people who grew up eating dogs occasionally have aquired a taste for it im sure.
When you see cute animals or people, don't you just assume that they must taste better?
