The friend zone is a real thing, but it exists purely because of men who hide their intentions whilst they orbit, so they end up turning her off and also missing the early (about 1 week to a month?) window for making a good impression as a potential partner.
Basically, the friend zone is real but if you're in it then it's your fault for doing it wrong, not hers for putting you in there.
