Why is /pol/ so autistic and hyper about saving western civilization? What is the point? What is there to save? The "good old days", if they ever existed, are long gone. I feel as if /pol/ and similar entities are trying to save this IDEA of this "great civilization" that only existed for a short time way back in the past.
How is pol any different from any other place. We all want the IDEA of a gf, the IDEA of anything is the only thing han beings can strife for in the long run. Western civ is worth saving as it is nearest to us and gives us a feeling of community that is lost in the modern world.

They see problems of today, and try to compare it to how life was before. But instead of just learning and trying to change things for the better, they just shit all over everything. They don't realize no point in time was perfect.
It's also easier to do this, and blame other people for everything than it is to look at yourself in the mirror and realize you might not be a great person, who needs self-improvement.
I personally know many people who follow this mindset, that western civilization is dying, that everyone except white men are the problem. Robots were better off since they usually got their shit together and monogamy was still the norm. Female hypergamy and even robots not marrying was almost unheard of. Even though they were low on the ladder they had their shit together at least. Robots in Western Europe were better off than their counterparts. The prevalence of war in WE has gone down considerably independantly of how the cultural revolution had turned out.
Western culture if it was still alive would be more humane and more caring than it's current counterpart.

I was merely showing off that robots in the past were generally better off and that they would be even better off now had WC not almost collapsed. The distractions (internet porn, anime and video games) would still be there but there would be incentive from both robots and their gfs to marry and copulate. Cheating is not a problem that can be fixed but the rates were generally lower since people had actual shame unlike now.
