Seeing shit I posted years ago makes me cringe hard.
Who else /ultraedgyafewyearsback/ here?
>be 14
>post 1970s music on normiebook, recommending my friends listen to it
>say I was born in wrong generation
God I was pretentious
>>29436103
No, music in the 70's really was a lot better than it is now.
>>29436116
nah man, there's always going to be good shit, there was no 'golden era' for music.
>>29436103
I used to think like this too, very glad I am a bit older and social media wasn't really a thing when I was that age. All the embarrassing shit I did was away from the internet.
Still listen to older music, just don't talk to people about it.

>Popular music* really in the 70's really was a lot better than it is now.
There is passionate and innovative music being made every day all the time. You just have to look for it.

Just yesterday I found a bunch of fan fiction forums I used to be a part of.
So much cringe, but I don't regret it.

>brought up in a very violent and abusive home
>disciplined if I exhibited emotion or tried to have positive relationships with others
>was basically conditioned to be a turbo edgelord
>tortured and killed a lot of animals
>abused and tortured my siblings
>abused and tortured any kids my age that I could get close to (most o them instinctively kept their distance)
>destroyed a lot of property, made homemade explosives and shit
>completely and utterly obsessed with death
>spent so much fucking time at the library reading medical journals and history books on anatomists and shit
>went to funerals at every opportunity and spent as much time with the corpses as I could, did unmentionable things
>would spend hours finding and collecting pictures and videos of dead bodies (and this was when the internet fucking crawled)
>would spend days dumping my findings all over the forums and imageboards I visited
>would ERP torturing and killing people and fucking their corpse with people on yahoo/aol/msn messenger, forums and shit
>drew a lot of gore, wrote violent intrusive thoughts into journals and burned the pages
>before I was 15 or 16 I still had one or two friends, would say the cringiest shit to them, makes me wince when I think about it to this day
>dressed entirely in black, even in the dead of summer (and I lived in a fucking desert)
>watched hundreds of horror movies and masturbated to a lot of them
>collected knives, had some absolutely ridiculous ones and carried at least one on me at all times, smuggled them into "secure" buildings on numerous occasions
I could go on and on and fucking on, I was the biggest edgelord that ever lived. Sometimes I'll remember some of the shit that I did without any provocation and cringe so hard I want to fucking kill myself.
I feel like fucking offing myself every time I see old 4chan posts.
The prose was so much better back then. There was almost none of that snide, self-conscious, David Spade in a Chris Farley movie irony shit.
Shit was funny instead of just snarky and pissy. There was a kind of silliness, but not /s4s/ forced and managed fakeshit. I don't know. There is a quality, and we have lost it.

ignoring the music video, sugar sugar is actually a decent song, but I have nothing better to do So I'll continue cherry picking my favorite 60s/70s songs and least favorite current.

you normalfaggots and your edge meme, tis a way of life
>>29436733
the people that made 4chan great were replaced by people trying to emulate them poorly
>>29436781
It pisses me off that the received pronunciation standard for internet humor now is awful SWPLy goon-twitter shit.
>>29436733
damn, 4chan in 2002 when life was so much more simple. those were the good old days.
>>29436781
Also, a lot of them were probably arrested, banned, or murdered.
>>29436991
I noticed that. I think the date's screwed up and it's actually '06.
can't post webms with sound on /r9k/ and outraged bump
>>29437016
>arrested, banned, or murdered.
I know for a fact that the majority were banned for stupid shit. People who go on 4chan don't leave the house often enough to get arrested or murdered.
>>29436116
we got one boys
>>29435969
I'm fortunate enough to say I wasn't like that.
